The new Theta X RICOH remains faithful to the great portability and image quality of this range, adding important novelties such as a large 2.25-inch color screen.

This touch panel is an important improvement in the experience of using the Theta, since it is now possible to preview the scene and review the captured image without using a mobile phone. From the screen it is also possible to control the parameters of the camera, such as exposure compensation or white balance, and perform actions such as shooting or marking favorite photos.

New sensor and processor

The new Theta X also features a new processor and a redesigned optical system, as well as two new 1/2-inch 48-megapixel CMOS image sensors, capable of producing images of approximately 60 megapixels (11,008 x 5,504 pixels).

Two image sizes are available: 11K, for capturing high-resolution photos indoors, and 5.5K, for more efficient images in other types of scenes.

The improved stabilization system provides smooth 360 video recordings with a resolution of 5,760 x 2,880 pixels and a cadence of 30 frames per second. 4K video streaming is possible via the camera's USB-C port.

Battery replace and memory card

Also for the first time in a Theta the new camera has a replaceable battery, specifically the model RICOH DB-110, the same used by the compact cameras of the GR III saga.

The Theta X also incorporates a microSDXC memory card slot (64 GB or superior capacity and compatible with the UHS-I interface) that allows you to expand the internal memory of 46 GB.

These two new features open the doors to long sessions with the camera without having to worry about the remaining autonomy or the available memory capacity.

The Theta X easily connects to a smartphone via the Bluetooth 5.0 wireless port. MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) wireless connection technology with several antennas and real-time processing (such as correction of the superior and bottom of the 360 image during video recording) allow the image to be transmitted much more quickly to the smartphone.

The camera also has integrated GPS to provide very precise information about the location where the images have been obtained.

The Theta X maintains the compact, robust and lightweight magnesium alloy design of previous models. A mode button allows you to quickly switch between different shooting options (photo, video, personal parameters, streaming and plug-in).
