Samyang's latest optical technology makes it possible for such a wide-angle lens to present an extremely sharp image from corner to corner, even at its maximum aperture of F1.8. Among its 11 optical elements, which are organized into 8 groups, the 7 special lenses (2 ASP, 3 HR, 2 ED) can be highlighted. These allow to unleash creativity by offering striking images with aberrations reduced to an imperceptible minimum. The AF 24mm F1.8 FE has a bright F1.8 aperture for excellent focus and smooth background blurs. It allows to perfectly control the depth field, isolating the subject from the bottom. The circular 9-leaf diaphragm contributes to a soft, natural and silky bokeh.

Versatile – ideal for landscapes, night skies and spontaneous shots

The 24mm F1.8 FE offers a viewing angle of 83.7° and a minimum focusing distance of just 0.19m. This allows you to move freely in the environment, both outdoors and indoors, creating a very personal perspective, increasing originality and creativity.

The AF 24mm F1.8 FE only weighs 230g and is 71.5mm long. Being so light and small it is the ideal complement to compact mirrorless cameras, increasing portability. To protect the lens from dust, moisture and snow it has been sealed in 5 delicate places to be able to continue photographing even in adverse weather conditions.

The AF 24mm F1.8 FE features a state-of-the-art STM (Stepping Motor) stepper motor, which allows you to control and move with precision and silently a heavier group of lenses and thus offer unparalleled image quality in both photographs and videos.

Maximizing functionality through new features

Customizable focus fixing button

If the new focus button is held down, the lens will save the focus distance being held. If preferred, the photographer can program other functions for this button through the settings menu of the camera body.

Customizable lever of photo modes

An innovation, which will undoubtedly make the photographer fall in love, is the new lever that allows you to switch between photography modes. It gains a lot of simplicity and an even more intuitive use. Thanks to it you can set various functions such as Aperture Control Mode or Manual Focus Mode and enjoy a shooting mode that better fits the photographer's personal preferences. More features can be added through future firmware updates.

Customizable Mode – NEW feature for Astronomical Photography

When a photographer enters customizable mode, the LED will flash red and the focus will be set directly for factory setting to infinity. The photographer will be able to save the preferred focus position by holding down the button.
