The Samyang AF 50mm II f/1.4 EF II Lens is a fast and compact normal fixed lens for E-mount SONY cameras. It features that stand out well above its class while maintaining a small and lightweight profile.

The bright maximum aperture of f/1.4 is paired with a nine-leaf diaphragm to benefit selective focus and shallow depth of field images with smooth bokeh, making it an ideal lens for portraits. An ultra-multiple coating has been applied to the lens elements to reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color fidelity. The optical design incorporates three elements of high refraction, one of extra low dispersion and two aspherical.

To complement the imaging capabilities, the lens has a customizable focus ring that can be changed to perform other functions via a convenient switch located on the barrel. An STM linear autofocus motor is used to produce fast, smooth, and quiet performance with full-time manual focus override and a non-rotating filter, along with features like internal AF and reduced focus breathing that make it an optimal lens for video.

  • The normal-length Prime lens is designed for full-frame SONY E-mount E-mount mirrorless cameras, but can also be used with APS-C models where it will provide a focal length equivalent to 75mm.
  • The maximum bright aperture of f/1.4 is suitable for working in low-light conditions and also provides greater control over the focusing position when using shallow-depth of-field techniques
  • A super multilayer coating has been applied to the lens elements to minimize lens glare and ghosting and help produce neutral, contrast-rich color images, even under backlight conditions.
  • The integrated autofocus motor works in conjunction with the cameras' focusing systems SONY for fast, accurate and precise AF control. Manual focus override is also available to refine your focus position
