A new patented V-shaped design of two gun microphones is SENNHEISER 's fantastic solution for stereo sound captured by camera-mounted microphones. This configuration provides stereo amplitude coverage equivalent to the image created by the popular 35mm camera lenses. The dispersion is very uniform and provides high intelligibility of speech in its approach.

The MKE 440 microphone is equipped with a patented impact mount and specifically developed for this purpose. It fits perfectly to the weight and dimensions of the gun microphone tube, ensuring optimal rejection of driving noise. The rubber suspension is secured inside the protective metal net.

Powered by a battery, the high-dynamic integrated electronic circuit combines with the output signal of the MKE 440 with the input sensitivity of the camera. Therefore, this microphone can handle a dynamic range from the most delicate sounds to the noisy screaming rock music. The low-cut filter reduces inherent noise per structure and low-frequency wind noise. The MKE 440 microphone offers an operating time of more than 100 hours with just a couple of AAA batteries, and provides full audio performance when used on a low battery.
