With impressive range in a relatively compact design, the SIGMA 100-400mm lens SONY f/5-6.3 DG DN OS Contemporary, from SIGMA, is a versatile telephoto zoom that combines a portable design with adequate optical performance. A number of low-dispersion glass elements are used to achieve high clarity and color accuracy throughout the zoom range, and to suppress chromatic aberrations and color stripes. Complementing the optics is intuitive operation, in which a stepper motor offers fast and near-silent autofocus performance along with fine-tuned manual focus control. In addition, effective four-stop optical image stabilization helps reduce the appearance of camera shakes for sharper manual shooting and this 100-400mm is also compatible with the optional TS-111 tripod socket for consistent shooting on a tripod or monopod.

  • As part of the Contemporary line within the SIGMA's Global Vision series, this lens is designed to strike a balance between convenience and performance, and combines compact, lightweight construction and versatile handling with remarkable optical attributes.
  • The zoom Lens SIGMA 100-400mm telephoto SONY is designed for full-frame E-mount SONY mirrorless cameras, but can also work with APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length range of 150-600mm.
  • A low dispersion F element (FLD) and four special low dispersion elements (SLD) significantly reduce chromatic aberrations and color stripes throughout the zoom range to improve color clarity and accuracy.
  • Optical image stabilization compensates for up to four stops of camera motion to help get sharp images when shooting the handheld with slower shutter speeds.
  • The integrated stepper motor performs fast and quiet autofocus, which is further complemented by an optimized AF algorithm to produce smoother focusing performance.
  • At the 100mm end of the zoom range, a minimum focusing distance of 3.7' is available, and at the 400mm end, the minimum focusing distance is 5.2' with a maximum magnification of 1:4.1.
  • The built-in AFL button can be programmed to adjust various shooting settings and the lens also features a focus limiter switch for faster focusing performance within certain distance ranges. There is a zoom lock switch to prevent the barrel from accidentally spreading.
  • The rounded 9-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasant bokeh quality.
  • The brass bayonet offers improved mounting accuracy and stiffness and rubber sealing is built into the bracket design to make it dust and splash resistant.
  • Compatible with the optional TS-111 tripod socket for working on top of a tripod or monopod; The included PT-31 protective cover can be attached to the lens to maintain a perfect appearance if the tripod socket is not used.
