The  17-70mm SONY Lense TAMRON  is the first lense high-speed zoom TAMRON for mirrorless cameras with APS-C size sensors. It features a maximum aperture of F2.8 across the 4.1x zoom range covering a focal length of 17-70mm, making the  17-70 sony mm APSC TAMRON ideal for everyday use (a full-frame equivalent of 25.5-105mm) and excellent optical performance. It is a small and lightweight lens, which is also equipped with the TAMRON VC (vibration compensation) mechanism to minimize camera shake. The TAMRON 17-70 f2.8 SONY has this VC mechanism that leverages AI technology when shooting videos.

The optics feature moisture-resistant construction, fluorine coating, and a filter size of φ67mm, the same as the TAMRON series of optics for full-frame mirrorless cameras. Supporting many of the features SONY built into its cameras, including Fast Hybrid AF and Eye Detection AF, the lense is the ideal zoom for everyday use in a multitude of situations. It's a very practical lense that allows photographers to get high image quality while enjoying the benefits of the large F2.8 aperture.

The  17-70mm TAMRON for APSC sony has a focal length range of 17-70mm, equivalent to 25.5-105mm on full-frame cameras. It is the world's first lense F2.8 high-speed zoom for APS-C mirrorless cameras that achieves a 4.1x zoom ratio.

2. Outstanding optical performance

The optical construction of the new TAMRON 17-70 f2.8 SONY  features 16 elements in 12 groups. Two GM (Glass Molded Aspherical) lens elements and one hybrid aspherical lens element are precisely arranged to maintain high-resolution performance from corner to corner.

Effective enhanced VC in combination with APS-C mirrorless cameras SONY , leveraging AI technology for video recording

The  17-70mm Lense TAMRON SONY features TAMRON's patented VC mechanism. Sophisticated algorithms optimized for this model have been incorporated, which together with a dedicated MPU that works independently combine to superbly compensate for vibration. This feature is available when the lense is used with cameras with or without in-body image stabilization. When shooting videos, leveraging AI technology, the image stabilization performance is improved compared to conventional models.

Close focus: The MOD (minimum focusing distance) is only 0.19m at its angular end

The   17-70mm TAMRON for APSC sony focuses closely, down to 0.19m at its minimum focusing distance. This is very superior to the performance achieved by conventional high-speed zoom lenses for APS-C cameras. In addition, its minimum focusing distance of just 0.39m at the end of the 70mm telephoto lens ensures good shooting performance at close range, allowing photographers to enjoy attractive close-ups.

A compact, highly portable design

The 17-70mm F2.8 zoom measures just 119.3mm in length and 74.6mm in maximum diameter and weighs just 525g. This is remarkable for a lense with built-in VC image stabilization. When used with SONY's APS-C mirrorless cameras, this zoom is very well balanced.
