The GMaster SONY 35mm Lens offers an almost circular aperture thanks to its 11-blade construction, a level of quality uncommon for a moving lens. Two innovative XA elements allow for stunning close-ups with smooth, creamy background bokeh. The combination of a maximum F1.4 aperture and the flexibility to choose the perfect shooting distance (minimum focusing distance of only 27cm with a maximum magnification of 0.23x in autofocus mode) allows for maximum control and an amazing bokeh effect with photos and videos.

The Linear Response MF system is ideal for creative focus effects when shooting videos, ensuring that the focus ring responds subtly when focusing manually. The rotation of the focus ring directly translates into the corresponding change of focus, so the control feels immediate and precise.

The GMaster F1.4 35mm SONY Lens offers complete professional control, with a focus hold button and a focus mode switch to enable smooth and efficient operation. The click-through aperture ring can be muted for video recording, and when used on an APS-C camera or with a Super 35 viewing angle, it can be used as a standard lens equivalent to 52.5mm, making the SONY 35mm F1.4 GMaster the perfect choice for creating videos. The focus hold button can be assigned to many other functions through the camera body menu, providing direct access to functions that are vital for photographers and videographers. It was created to resist dust and moisture and has a fluorine coating[i] on the front element that repels water, oil and other contaminants.
