The SONY 35mm f Sonnar T*FE/2.8 ZA lens is a prime, wide-angle lens that offers a fast, bright f/2.8 maximum aperture to support higher low-light performance and greater focus control for depth of field and selective imagery focus. Three double-sided aspherical elements, for a total of six aspherical surfaces, work to minimize spherical aberrations and contribute to the sharpness of the remarkable image. A Carl ZEISS T* anti-reflective coating has also been applied to lens elements to reduce reflections on the lens and ghosting to improve contrast and color fidelity. An internal focusing mechanism maintains the overall size of the lens during focusing and aids in faster and more responsive performance.
