The SONY 28-135mm f4 G OSS FE PZ lens , designed to meet the needs of 4K production, the 28-135mm SONY FE PZ f/4G OSS lens is a powerful zoom lens that covers wide-angle to telephoto perspectives while adding many features to your full frame, APS-C, or camcorder or even E-mount camera photography system. The lens incorporates a motorized zoom control with variable speed and ability to reverse the direction of rotation of the zoom. Power zoom function is an SSM (Supersonic Wave Engine) unit that enables precision and quiet operation.   Focusing noise is also minimized through weight reduction of the group of focusing elements and the use of a linear motor. Iris function is also designed to be smooth and quiet for cinematography demands. 

Angle of view variations while focusing (breathing) and axial displacement while they have been reduced, while five aspherical elements and three ED elements work with advanced multi-coating technology to minimize distortion and chromatic aberrations while contributing to sharper overall images with higher contrast and zoom clarity.

Independent zoom, focus and iris control rings (aperture) are provided for and the focus mode can be switched from auto to manual by sliding the focus ring forward so that control is maintained at all times. The three control rings have been designed to provide the right amount of torques for comfortable handling, Sensitive and scalloped tone on the rings has been designed for comfortable, slip-free control.

A constant maximum aperture of f/4 delivers consistent performance throughout the zoom range and is especially beneficial when working with higher zoom magnifications in low-light conditions. Also benefiting from working in low light or in the long part of the zoom range is Optical SteadyShot Image Stabilization, which works to minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to four stops of shutter speed.

Advanced SONY control iris and linear motor AF system achieve quiet focusing that is also extremely sensitive. Part of the reason control is so quiet is that the original SONY motors are linear without contact, without gears or mechanical coupling to generate noise.
