Characterized by its sleek and versatile design, the VILTROX AF 23mm f/1.4 XF is a 35mm equivalent wide-angle main lens designed for FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras with APS-C format. The flexible wide-angle focal length combines with the bright maximum aperture of f/1.4 to suit work in a variety of lighting conditions and also allows for improved control over depth of field to isolate the subject using selective focusing techniques. The optical design incorporates a pair of extra-low dispersion elements and a pair of high refractive index elements, which combine to suppress a variety of aberrations and produce high sharpness, clarity, and color accuracy. An HD Nano multilayer coating has also been applied to reduce flare and ghosting for higher contrast in light and backlight conditions.

In terms of handling, the compact lens incorporates an STM stepper motor, which produces fast, almost silent and accurate autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override. An internal focus design also contributes to fast performance. In addition, the lens features a built-in micro-USB port for future firmware updates for the lens.
