    As part of SONY's esteemed Master G series, this lens has been specially designed to achieve high resolution and sharpness through correction for a wide variety of spherical and chromatic aberrations. In addition, these lenses feature robust and-intuitive handle physical designs to benefit both photography and film applications.

    A popular telephoto zoom designed for full-screen E-mount mirrorless cameras, this 70-200mm lens is also compatible with APS-C models to which it provides a focal length range equivalent to 105-300mm.

    A constant f/2.8 maximum aperture delivers consistent performance throughout the zoom range and greater control over focus position is also lent to depth of field techniques.

    Of the three aspherical elements incorporated into the lens design, one is an XA element with surface accuracy superior to effectively reduce astigmatism, field curvature, coma, and other monochromatic image aberrations.

    Four extra-low dispersion elements and two Super ED elements are offered in the lens design, too, and help control chromatic aberrations and reduce color halos for greater clarity and color fidelity.

    A Nano AR Coating has been applied to reduce surface reflections, flare, and ghosting to increase contrast and color reproduction in extreme light conditions.

    The front lens element features a fluorine coating to protect against smudges and dust adhering to the glass surface.

    A rounded 11-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasant bokeh quality when using selective focusing techniques.
