The GH4383QD Series 4 GITZO ball joint (lever shoe lock version) is a heavy-duty tripod ball joint ideal for large telephoto lenses, designed to ensure maximum smoothness and precision of movement. Although it weighs less than 1kg, it safely supports an impressive 30kg load, effortlessly handling a CSC or DSLR equipped with a 400-600mm lens. They have a base diameter of 60mm.

This Series 4 ball joint has a hollow ball ball with special coating that ensures safe and comfortable use with very heavy equipment, even in extreme conditions and temperatures between -30 °C and 70 °C.

The entire assembly is manufactured with high precision and materials of the highest quality, including high-tolerance steel and aluminum components.

It incorporates multiple functions: a friction control knob, located inside the ball locking knob for precise adjustment, and a bubble level to maintain a level horizon. The independent 360° pan lock offers incredibly smooth movement thanks to its fluid drag cartridge, and the quick rotation lock helps you get the perfect shot at any time.

The thermoset fluid drag cartridge ensures that the most frequently used pan axis provides perfect fluidity when capturing subjects on the move for high-quality smooth videos and flawless images. The high stability offered by the Series 4 ball joint is perfect when using long focal lengths: a few degrees of displacement or vibration equals a horizontal distance of several meters when shooting with a 600mm lens.
