The TAMRON 17-50mm f/4 Di III VXD lens meets video and photography needs with a unique focal length range that includes a 17mm ultra-wide angle position that's perfect for wide fields of view, as well as indoor environments, architectural themes and even when shooting vlogs at arm's length. The range extends up to 50mm, offering a normal length field of view, which accommodates portraits and narrower perspectives of everyday subjects. In addition, it has impressive close-up performance, with a minimum focusing distance of 7.5" at the wide-angle end and 11.8" at the long end, for working with close subjects. This flexible range is backed by a constant f/4 maximum aperture that helps prioritise portability and makes it an ideal target for everyday use.

The lens design is also well suited to multimedia use with the inclusion of a VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor for fast and quiet autofocus performance. The lens also has an internal zoom design and internal focus, which means that the overall length does not change during use for more intuitive and easy to balance operation when working with a gimbal stabilizer.

In addition, in terms of physical design, the 17-50mm has a moisture-resistant design with a fluorine front coating that makes cleaning simple and straightforward. It uses 67mm filters, just like most other mirrorless lenses TAMRON, and is also compatible with TAMRON Lens Utility software to adjust lens performance to your needs.
