Since 1992, the year in which it introduced its AF 28-200mm F/3.8-5.6 Aspherical (Model 71D) has been producing, with great success, both wide-angle and tele zoom lenses. Now, TAMRON takes the next step in the evolution of these popular lenses, extending the focal length range to 400mm (the equivalent of about 620mm in 35mm sensor cameras). The magnification ratio is x22.2. Within the 18-400mm is the knowledge and accumulated experience of more than 25 years producing off-road zoom lenses. This new lens includes the latest technological advances from TAMRON such as its mechanical and optical designs, the precise and quiet HLD autofocus motor and the exclusive VC image stabilizer of TAMRON.

The 18-400mm TAMRON Lens is lightweight and compact (121.4mm /705g) and thus the ideal lens to take on a trip. Enjoy both wide-angle and ultra-TV, wildlife photography and all kinds of spontaneous shots with a single lens.
