Gitzo Patella GH1382QD

GITZO's GH1382QD ball joints are designed for professional and advanced amateur photographers looking for the best equipment available, and are developed and manufactured to become the ideal complements for tripods GITZO. The new ball joints are available in three sizes and are perfect for tripods GITZO Traveler and Mountaineer.

GITZO's new family of center ball joints incorporates revolutionary features, with innovations that will be appreciated by all photographers. The surfaces of the balls are coated with tungsten disulfide (WS2), which is one of the softest materials known to science. Tungsten disulfide possesses extremely low friction, so it needs an extremely efficient locking mechanism (patent pending), and the use of high-hardness metal components under and around the ball. When moving the ball, the locking mechanism provides comfortable friction over it, and the ball can be blocked with minimal effort, while preventing deformations or unwanted movements.

panning or making horizontal adjustments for perfect framing. Friction control is available on two models in the family (GH1382QD and GH3382QD), and is ergonomically located inside the ball lock control, allowing quick locking without sacrificing ease.
