VANGUARD built its 8x42 VEO HD binoculars to address the particular demands of hunters, birdwatchers and outdoor enthusiasts. They deliver bright, high-contrast images with accurate, realistic colors and crisp clarity, even when viewed from long distances. To achieve this optical performance, these binoculars feature fully multilayer extra-low dispersion (ED) anti-glare glass with phase correction coatings on BAK4 prisms. Designed to withstand a lifetime of outdoor use, its chassis is made of a lightweight and durable polycarbonate that is also corrosion resistant to make it ideal for boaters. Optical tubes are filled with nitrogen and sealed with O-rings so that they are waterproof and resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature or environmental conditions.

• Protective coating of the outer lens adds scratch resistance and allows water to drip and drain and oils/sap to be removed without leaving residue
