Zeiss Touit 12mm f2.8

The ZEISS Touit 12 f2.8 lens is a wide-angle prime lens  designed specifically for use in APS-C size image sensors, and as such offers a 35mm equivalent focal length of 18mm. This lens is compatible with Fujifilm X and SONY Nex mirrorless cameras, supports all camera functions,  including autofocus and exposure control.

The Distagon design of this lens integrates a floating element design that includes two aspherical elements and three partial dispersion elements to reduce aberrations and distortions to produce image clarity, sharpness, and even brightness. Carl ZEISS T* anti-reflective coatings have also been applied to all lens surfaces to improve light transmission and image contrast, minimizing surface reflections, lens reflections, and ghosting.

The lens construction features a metal lens tube with rubber control rings for high accuracy when focusing manually. A rigid metal bayonet mount ensures precise alignment and an almost circular nine-blade opening works to produce a more outstanding quality aesthetic out of focus.

Fujifilm X Compatibility
     Designed for use in the Fujifilm X-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras and provides a 35mm equivalent focal length of 18mm. The lens offers full compatibility with all camera functions, including precise autofocus and exposure control. It features a wide f/2.8 maximum aperture that helps in low-light conditions, as well as greater control over the focus plane for depth-of-field and selective focusing applications.

SONY and compatibility
     Designed for use in SONY E-mount APS-C mirrorless cameras and provides an equivalent focal length in 35mm of 18mm. The lens offers full compatibility with all camera functions, including precise autofocus and exposure control. It features a wide f/2.8 maximum aperture that helps in low-light conditions, as well as greater control over the focus plane for depth-of-field and selective focusing applications.

Optical Design
     This lens incorporates the Distagon optical design with a floating element construction and includes two aspherical elements and three partial dispersion elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and distortion while offering greater Uniform sharpness and illumination. Carl ZEISS T* anti-reflective coatings have been applied to each lens surface to help minimize reflections in order to provide greater image clarity, contrast and color fidelity.

Physical design
     The lens incorporates a rigid, durable metal barrel with rubber control rings to provide better handling capabilities. The metal bayonet mount ensures a solid connection between the camera and the lens, and a blade-nine, nearly circular aperture is used to seamlessly render out-of-focus lights.
