These Fujinon 7x50 FMTR-SX Polaris binoculars are equipped with an array of optical and design elements that make them ideal optics for a variety of binocular viewing applications. For those working in and near water, they feature waterproof seals, non-slip armor and great eye relief. For astronomers who like to observe the moon, look for comets or enjoy wide-field planet watching, the large objectives collect large amounts of light while the exit pupil is wide enough to cover fully dilated pupils in total darkness. Birders will appreciate the optical path of the Porro prism, field-flattening lenses and anti-reflective coatings that ensure crisp, clear views with accurate color rendition for positive identification of elusive species.
Optical Performance
Optimized for marine use, birding and wide-view astronomy.
Moderate 7x magnification helps produce a wide exit pupil and extended eye relief for better low-light use and easier viewing in rough or rough seas.
Large 50mm objectives increase light gathering capability for brighter views in challenging conditions, such as at dawn and dusk or in heavy fog conditions.
Traditional Porro prism light path presents a rich depth of field for discerning the relative position of objects within the field of view.
Integrated field flattener lenses eliminate distortion at the edges of the field of view for a more immersive experience.
Anti-reflective optics with EBC multi-coated optics increase light transmission to 95% for brighter, high-contrast images with accurate color reproduction.
Wide field of view from 395 feet to 1000 yards
Use and Handling
Individually focusing eyepieces ensure the sharpest possible views for each user.
Foldable rubber eyecups fit over the eye socket and prevent peripheral light from affecting vision.
56-74 mm interpupillary adjustment range
Exceptional 23 mm eye relief features a generous eye box that keeps the optics away from the face, prevents accidental impact in rough seas and makes viewing more comfortable with less eyestrain.
The wide 7.1mm exit pupil allows you to enjoy the entire view without vignetting, even in rough seas.
