Fujinon 8x42 Hyper Clarity binoculars are designed with moderate magnification that allows you to observe distant subjects while presenting you with long eye relief and a wide exit pupil that enhances your viewing comfort.

It employs complementary technologies to produce optics designed for superior low-light performance in the harshest conditions. First, extra-low dispersion (ED) lanthanum glass is used in the lens elements to correct chromatic and spherical aberrations. Next, Fujinon employs its Super EBC anti-reflective coatings, which increase light transmission, image contrast and sharpness, and provide true color reproduction. Next are the phase-corrected, dielectric-coated roof prisms, which limit internal light loss and interference and improve image contrast. All this translates into bright, clear, high-contrast images with accurate colors across the entire wide field of view with a reduced appearance of visible hand vibration, especially in low-light conditions, such as early morning and late afternoon, and under very cloudy skies.

The optical tubes are nitrogen-filled and O-ring sealed so that they are not only fog-resistant when moving between extreme temperature changes, but also waterproof and submersible. The exterior has an armor made of an elastomeric material that protects against bumps and drops and provides a non-slip grip for safe handling in cold and wet conditions. Fujinon includes objective lens covers and an eyepiece rain shield to protect lenses and eyepieces, plus a neck strap and carrying case.
