5-hour APS-C X-Trans CMOS 40MP BSI sensor
Offering the ultimate in image quality, the X-T5 features a 40MP X-Trans 5 HR CMOS sensor in a compact, lightweight body that maximizes functionality and portability. Image performance is in no way affected by the camera's diminutive proportions. Instead, the X-T5's enhanced image processing algorithm delivers outstanding results and is packed with detail throughout the native ISO range.
Powerful video capabilities
A dynamic camera with powerful video functions, movies can be recorded internally at up to 6.2K at 30p in 4:2:2 10-bit color, plus there is a 4K HQ mode that oversamples 6.2K images for 4K output superior. This higher video resolution unlocks 2x digital zoom functionality, providing additional in-camera versatility without a noticeable drop in quality.
External raw recording
Both F-Log and F-Log2 recording are possible, with the latter providing an extended dynamic range of over 13 stops. In addition, 12-bit ProRes RAW and Blackmagic RAW can be sent via HDMI to devices Atomos and Blackmagic accordingly.
Intelligent 425-point hybrid AF system
With excellent autofocus performance, the X-T5 uses 425 phase detection points and now has a sensitivity of up to -7 EV for working in low light conditions. In addition, backed by deep learning, an adaptive AI algorithm means this focusing system is better suited to automatically detect and track animals, athletes, birds, cars, motorcycles and moving subjects.
In-body image stabilization
Thanks to the camera's in-body image stabilization system (IBIS), quality-reducing camera shake is minimized. The built-in 5-axis sensor-shift image stabilization helps minimize the appearance of camera shake by up to 7 stops. This system works in conjunction with most X-series lenses, including non-stabilized lenses, and offers advantages when working with slower shutter speeds and when shooting in difficult lighting conditions. In addition, digital image stabilization can also be used during video recording to further help stabilize footage, especially when shooting handheld.
Multi-shot with pixel shift
Using the camera's IBIS system to precisely shift the sensor, Pixel Shift Multishot automatically records 20 separate frames with one press of the shutter release. The resulting files are combined with Pixel Shift Combiner software to quadruple the camera's resolution and produce a detail-rich 160MP file. Perfect for commercial or digital archiving applications, it is also ideal for any static subject where image quality is of paramount importance.
Built for speed
The X-T5 delivers powerful imaging performance to ensure it's ready for action, no matter how fast your subject is moving. An electronic shutter speed superior of 1/180 000 s and a maximum mechanical shutter speed of 1/8000 s will stop any subject in its tracks, while a time lag of just 35 ms provides near-instant response when the shutter release button is pressed. Hold one finger down and the X-T5 will record images at up to 15 fps with the mechanical shutter or 20 fps with the electronic shutter. Either way, you won't miss an important moment.
Film Simulation Modes
Film Simulation modes allow you to reproduce the look and feel of various types of FUJIFILM films, including Provia, Velvia, Astia, Classic Chrome, PRO Neg.Std, PRO Neg. Hi, Classic Neg, Nostalgic Neg, Eterna Cinema, Eterna Bleach Bypass, Acros, Acros + Ye Filter, Acros + R Filter, Acros + G Filter, Black & White, Black & White + Ye FiFilter, Black & White + R Filter, Black & White + G Filter, and Sepia.
Improved body design
The large OLED electronic viewfinder features a crisp 3.69 million dot resolution for bright, clear and detailed eye-level viewing. In addition, this EVF offers 0.8x magnification for an easy-to-view image that is further enhanced with improved parallax and distortion suppression compared to its predecessor. Meanwhile, the 100 fps refresh rate allows for virtually blackout-free imaging.
Large 3.0" 1.62m dot LCD touchscreen for intuitive operation and playback, and the tiltable design greatly benefits working from high and low shooting angles.
Using an NP-W235 battery, up to 680 frames can be recorded on a single charge, plus the mechanical shutter guarantees 500,000 activations, providing long-term accuracy and reliability.

Features of the FUJI 56mm f1.2 R APD Lens
FUJINON XF 56mm F1.2 R APD is an autofocus lens for digital cameras with APS-C size sensors and provides a focal length equivalent to 85mm*1. The lens has a maximum aperture of F1.2, making it the world's brightest autofocus lens for digital cameras with an APS-C sensor. In addition, the new apodization filter makes it the perfect choice for portrait shooting, with every strand of hair clearly visible in a unique bokeh effect.
This lens is highly portable. When attached to an X-series camera body, it weighs about half*2 as much as an SLR camera with a single lens of the same focal length and F-value, and is also fast to use thanks to the quiet, high-speed autofocus.
It produces not only beautiful bokeh, but also maintains sharpness with accurate focusing even with a shallow depth of field. This is a major advantage of mirrorless over SLR, thanks to focusing on the image sensor itself rather than on the separate PD sensor. The shutter on the X series bodies is equally quiet, so it's easy to capture more natural images of all kinds of subjects.

Key Features
The apodization filter offers more creative portraits
- XF 56 mm F1.2 R APD delivers bright levels of sharpness even when shooting with the aperture at F1.2. In addition, the apodization filter softens the contours of bokeh. This combination of image sharpness with the beautiful bokeh effect delivers portraits with a three-dimensional look.
- An optical construction of 11 glass elements in eight groups has been used, including one molded glass aspherical lens element and two extra-low dispersion lens elements. Spherical aberrations are corrected by the aspherical glass element to provide high resolution at the maximum aperture setting. In addition, thanks to the combination of two extra-low dispersion lens elements and three reinforced lens elements, chromatic aberrations are greatly reduced.
- The application of Fujifilm's unique HT-EBC (High Transmittance Electron Beam Coating) to all lens surfaces controls ghosting and flare to deliver crisp, clear results.
- The lens also takes full advantage of Fujifilm's unique X-TransTM CMOS low-pass filter-free sensor for very high image quality. Ghosting and flare are controlled even in complex conditions such as backlighting.
- By combining this lens with an X-series *5 camera body with Lens Modulation Optimizer *4 (LMO) technology, lens performance has been further improved. LMO corrects diffraction*6 to produce images with incredible sharpness and create a realistic three-dimensional effect even at small apertures.
-
Autofocusing for a lens with an apodization filter
- In the past, the apodization filter was only used with a manual focus lens, and this is the first to use high-precision contrast AF.
- Combined with an X-series camera body, more natural images of subjects can be obtained thanks to the near-silent shutter sound.
Film effects with the Film Simulation function
- X-series interchangeable lens cameras are equipped with Film Simulation modes, which have been developed using Fujifilm's 80 years of industry know-how to deliver colors and tones that resemble those of photographic film. By combining this lens with the Pro Neg. film simulation mode, which is specifically designed for portrait photography, beautiful skin tones are reproduced. High-quality construction and convenient operation
- The apodization filter delivers its best results at the widest apertures. To enable wide apertures to be used even in bright environments, an ND filter that adjusts brightness in three levels is included. To indicate the apodization effect, the lens features an aperture ring that indicates the effective F-number in red. The difference between the F-number and the effective F-number indicates the effectiveness of the apodizing filter.
- The aperture and focus rings are made of metal, and metal is also used on the outside of the lens body to provide a high-quality finish. The texture and torque of the rings make shooting more comfortable even in delicate manual focusing.
