With its ability to create images suitable within a slim yet versatile design, the PowerShot G5 X Mark II Canon is an advanced compact camera with a large sensor, data processing and a flexible zoom lens. The 20.1MP 1" CMOS sensor uses a stacked design, which is combined with the DIGIC 8 image processor to achieve fast autofocus focus, fast high-resolution capture up to 20fps and UHD 4K30p video recording. Complementing the sensor and processor is a 5x zoom lens, which covers an equivalent focal length range of 24-120mm for wide-angle to telephoto fields of view. The maximum aperture range of f/1.8-2.8 adapts to working in difficult lighting conditions as does an optical image stabilizer, which compensates for the effects of camera shake. Rounding out the design of the G5 X Mark II, the camera features a pop-up 2.36 m-dot electronic viewfinder, 180° tilt LCD touchscreen and features Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for wireless connection to a mobile device. .

With a large stacked 20.1MP 1" CMOS sensor, along with a DIGIC 8 image processor, the G5 X Mark II delivers remarkable imaging performance characterized by high speed and low noise. The stacked sensor design, coupled with the DIGIC 8 processor, especially offers fast focusing speeds, up to 20fps continuous shooting, a 30fps raw burst mode, and UHD 4K30p and Full HD 120p video recording.
- 5x optical zoom lens
The versatile 5x optical zoom lens covers an equivalent focal length range of 24-120mm, from wide to short angle, and features a maximum aperture of f/1.8-2.8 along with image stabilization to benefit manual shooting in difficult lighting conditions. The fast maximum aperture also allows greater control over depth of field for working with selective focus.
- Body design and wireless connectivity
-The pop-up electronic viewfinder features a resolution of 2.36m point for crisp and clear viewing at eye level. The pop-up/retractable design also helps maintain an overall sleek form factor when the camera is not in use.
-The rear touchscreen offers a great means to monitor live, review images and navigate the menu. Its intuitive touch design also allows you to work with Touch & Drag AF for easy focus point selection. In addition, a 180° upward tilt design suits the vlogging and selfie needs of the front.
-The exposure compensation dial, as well as the physical control rings and control dials, offer direct access and easy control over various shooting settings.
-Charging the battery in the camera, from a power bank, a power outlet or a computer, is possible via the USB port.
-The built-in Bluetooth and Wi-Fi allow wireless transfer of images to a linked mobile device and also allow remote control of the camera via the Canon Camera Connect app.
- Other camera features
Dedicated star shooting modes can be used to capture photos and videos of the night sky with increased brightness and clarity. Star Nightscape, Star Trails and Star Time-Lapse movies can be recorded, with automatic or manual adjustments, and supporting features such as Night Screen, Color Adjustment and Star Emphasis offer greater control over the final results.
Panorama mode lets you scroll through the scene to automatically produce stitched panoramic images.
