Canon 35mm f1.4 L II USM lens
The Canon 35mm f1.4 L II USM lens, is a premium L-series wide-angle lens with blue optical refractive spectrum and a maximum aperture of f/1.4, making it ideal for shooting in low-light conditions and for controlling depth of field. Two aspherical elements and an ultra-low dispersion (UD) element combine with the BR element to control chromatic aberrations and color mixing for greater clarity and sharpness. A coating sublength has also been applied to reduce the ghosting effect and Lens Glow for greater color accuracy and contrast. The ultrasonic autofocus motor (USM) provides fast operation and near-silent AF. Full-time manual focus allows accurate manual focusing, even when in AF mode.
- Primer wide-angle lens is designed for full-frame Canon EOS DSLRs, and can also be used with APS-C sized sensors where it will provide an equivalent focal length of 56mm.
- The blue spectrum optical refractive element is refracted to shorter wavelengths of the visible spectrum (blue light) in order to significantly reduce chromatic aberrations and color mixing.
- A pair of aspherical elements and a UD element also help control aberrations and distortions for clearer and sharper image quality.
- Sub-wavelength coating minimizes surface reflections, ghosting and flare for greater contrast and color fidelity.
- The ultrasonic motor offers fast and quiet autofocus performance and also allows manual focus control at all times by a simple rotation of the focus ring.
- A minimum focusing distance of 11" with 0.21x magnification maximum benefits working with foreground subjects.
- Fluorine coatings on the front and rear surfaces help reduce fingerprints and smudges.
- With the designation of the L series, this lens is also dusty and moisture-resistant for use in harsh situations.
- A nine-blade aperture provides smooth and pleasant out-of-focus areas in selective focus images.
