Dual chamber system

The Air 3 features the first dual-camera system in the Air series, integrating a wide-angle camera with 1/1.3-inch CMOS and a 3x mid-camera with 1/1.3-inch CMOS in a sleek, compact body. The two cameras have the same sensor size, but different focal lengths, to offer consistent image quality [3] and more dynamic imaging possibilities.

Use the wide-angle camera's expansive field of view to capture more in any landscape. Switch to the 3x medium camera to frame any subject as an eye-catching focal point. 

48MP photos with both cameras

Both cameras are capable of taking 48MP photos full of authentic detail with fantastic looks and allow for flawless digital cutouts in post-production for those who need it. 

HDR 4K/60fps videos with both cameras

The Air 3's two 1/1.3-inch CMOS sensors support native dual ISO to directly output 4K/60fps HDR video without digital cropping. This allows videos from both cameras to be filled with rich colors and natural light transitions for stunning, highly accurate results.

10-bit D-Log M

10-bit HLG

Both cameras support 10-bit D-Log M and 10-bit HLG color modes. The 10-bit D-Log M mode helps preserve more detail in highlights and shadows to allow for greater flexibility in editing. In contrast, the 10-bit HLG mode can feature a higher dynamic range for excellent image results without color grading.

Long flights, innovative cargo

The Air 3 offers up to 46 minutes of flight time,[1] a 48% increase[5] compared to the previous generation. This gives you plenty of time to explore, adjust compositions, and get the shots you want. All in a single flight. 

The new battery charging center features an innovative energy transfer function. Simply press and hold the function button to transfer the remaining power from multiple batteries to the battery with the most power,[6] so that you have a battery with a higher level of charge in situations where charging options are limited.

Omnidirectional Obstacle Detection

An omnidirectional obstacle detection system offers complete awareness of the environment and allows the Air 3 to locate obstacles in all directions. [2] When obstacles are detected, the Air 3 can use APAS 5.0 to dodge them with smoother movements [7]  to offer a safer flight experience. Even beginners can now fly with confidence and execute creative ideas with greater confidence.

O4 Video Streaming

The state-of-the-art O4 video transmission system gives the Air 3 radically improved transmission performance. It offers a max. range of 20 km [8] with increased stability and a top-quality live signal in 1080p/60 fps to ensure smooth viewing and operation.

Advanced RPO

During Intelligent RPO, the Air 3 will automatically plan a flight path optimized for Advanced RPO,[9] maintaining omnidirectional obstacle detection[2] to return to its point of origin quickly and safely.

FocusTrack

FocusTrack easily keeps you or your subject in the centre of the frame. The 3x medium camera unlocks an exceptional sense of spatial compression when highlighting targets. This enhanced tracking capability, combined with omnidirectional obstacle detection, allows you to achieve smart, well-planned shots whenever and wherever you need them.

2.7K vertical recording

The Air 3 allows for 2.7K vertical recording with both cameras to give vertical videos a wonderfully dynamic look when capturing landscapes or other lenses. The 2.7K vertical shot generated directly from the 4:3 CMOS produces clips optimized for smartphone viewing and ready to share on social media without the need for digital cropping in post-production.

Night Mode Hyperlapse Slow Motion SmartPhoto 3.0 QuickTransfer

Thanks to an advanced noise reduction algorithm, the Air 3 can capture noise-free video at up to 4K/30fps in low-light environments or at night. Choose from four options, including Free, Orbit, Fixed Course, and Path, to capture timelapse videos horizontally in up to 4K or vertically in up to 2.7K. Select 4K/100fps [4] or 1080p/100fps [4] to directly record a slow motion video at 4x. In single-shot mode, the Air 3 defaults to SmartPhoto 3.0, which can automatically select between HDR, hyperlight, and scene recognition, depending on the situation, to achieve better image results. In HDR DNG format,[11] the camera can record a higher dynamic range with built-in contrast boost. Quickly download photos and videos from the aircraft to your smartphone via a wireless connection to save time and effort.

LightCut App

Connect wirelessly to the Air 3 using the LightCut app on your smartphone for more creative options, like One-Touch Editing. You don't need to download the entire video during the process, which helps save storage space on your mobile device.

One-touch editing Diorama effects

Intelligently select clips based on composition and flight path to automatically combine optimal templates and sound effects to generate a cinematic video easily and quickly. Enjoy a diorama effect with just one touch. Use this feature in your shots with the 3x medium camera for even more spectacular results.

Trajectory

For the first time, the Trajectory feature is now available in the Air series. Plan flight paths and recordings for the Air 3 in advance for complex camera movements and stunning shots. You can also save flight paths to accurately repeat the same motion at another time or another day, opening the door to long-form timelapse shots to capture transitions, such as from day to night or from season to season.
