Ronin DJI RS 3 Stabilizer

The DJI RS 3 has been redesigned to be even lighter and sleeker than the Ronin RSC 2 gimbal at just 2.8 lbs with a payload of up to 6.6 lbs. This tiny gimbal is sturdy enough to support and stabilize a Sony a7S III or Canon R5 with a 24-70mm zoom lens attached. With a larger full-color OLED display, a new fine-tuning knob, and increased stability, the RS 3 can become an essential part of your compact camera kit.

Quick release plates

With dual-layer quick-release plates, mounting a camera on RS 3 is quick and convenient. There is no need to rebalance the gimbal after changing a new battery or memory card.

Automated Shaft Lockouts

When the gimbal is off, you can press and hold the power button and all three axes unlock while the gimbal automatically expands, allowing you to start working in just two seconds. Press the power button once and the axles automatically lock and go into sleep mode, making a move or storage significantly more efficient.

Wireless Shutter Control

By implementing dual-mode Bluetooth, the RS 3 supports wireless shutter control, saving time and effort with every use. After the initial Bluetooth pairing, you can control the capture of videos and photos by simply pressing the record button on the stabilizer. Pre-paired cameras can automatically reconnect after the first use, eliminating the need for a camera control cable.

Integrated Controls

• With a newly added fine-tuning knob on the tilt axis, the camera can slide forward or backward with millimeter-grade precision adjustments to achieve precise balance more easily when changing lenses.
• By simply sliding the new gimbal mode switch, you can toggle between panning tracking, panning and tilt and FPV modes. FPV mode selection can also be customized for 3D Roll 360, Portrait, or Custom, allowing you to fine-tune your rig and get started as quickly as possible.
• Turning the front dial allows you to control zoom or focus. It can also be customized to control the camera's shutter, aperture, ISO, or gimbal movements, making it exceptionally convenient for one-handed operation.

Smartphone monitoring

RS 3 is compatible with the Ronin Image Streamer (formerly known as the Ronin RavenEye Image Streamer) to stream 1080p30 HD live streams directly to a mobile device. The maximum transmission distance is 656 feet, and the end-to-end transmission latency is as low as 60 ms. A smartphone can also be connected to the NATO port on the RS 3 with the phone holder for wireless monitoring.

Integrated Monitoring and Control

Remotely adjust the camera's exposure directly in the Ronin app, or control the gimbal with the virtual joystick for a built-in control and monitoring experience. With the Ronin Image Transmitter, a smartphone can be used as a motion controller to remotely control the RS 3 gimbal for more flexible and dynamic camera movements.

Improved battery and fast charging

The new RS 3 battery grip features a cartridge design, making it easier to swap batteries and is smaller for storage compared to RSC 2. It can even be charged separately from the gimbal. The new battery grip provides an extended run time of up to 12 hours, enough to shoot continuously throughout the day. It supports 18W PD fast charging with a charging time of only 2.5 hours. It can even be used while charging to keep the RS 3 on almost indefinitely.
