With an ultra-compact form factor and broad device compatibility, the DJI Mic Mini is designed to help content creators record enhanced audio on their next vlog, live stream or social media video. The system can communicate with your DSLR/mirrorless camera or iOS/Android smartphone via wired or wireless connectivity. It can record clear and reliable audio from an extended distance of 1312' via two miniature omnidirectional clip-on microphones/transmitters. The small receiver can be mounted on your camera or plugged directly into the Lightning/USB port of a smartphone or laptop using the USB-C port or a separately available cell phone adapter.

Wired and wireless connectivity

Like the Mic 2, the Mic Mini features 2.4 GHz digital wireless technology and Bluetooth. Bluetooth allows you to connect the transmitters to your DJI Mimo app via an iOS or Android device. You can even connect it directly to your Osmo Pocket 3, Osmo Action 4 or Osmo Action 5 Pro camera. Switch between different settings through the Mimo app, such as noise cancellation and audio limiting. 3.5mm TRS and USB-C connections are available on the receiver unit to connect to a wide range of devices. An included 3.5mm TRS camera audio cable makes it easy to connect the camera and synchronizes the receiver's power to the camera. When connected to your mobile device via USB-C, both the receiver and your smartphone can be charged simultaneously and clips can be reviewed via external playback.

Wireless recording with drones

The Mic Mini is also wirelessly compatible with the DJI Neo drone via the DJI Fly app. Connect the Mic Mini to your smartphone's Bluetooth and open the DJI Fly app to record audio. The app also automatically removes propeller noise and merges the recorded audio with your footage.

Portable and wearable microphones

For a truly wireless experience, conveniently attach each transmitter to whatever you wear via the integrated rear clip without the need to connect yourself or your talent. Other wearing options include a magnetic attachment and lanyard with accessories available separately.

Each transmitter weighs only 0.4 oz, ensuring that it does not weigh down your collar or lift out for a pleasing appearance in the chamber.

The built-in microphones feature an omnidirectional pickup pattern that ensures reliable voice capture, even if the microphone placement is less than ideal; the subject's voice is captured with clarity, intelligibility and consistency.

Two hairy windscreens are provided to effectively suppress wind noise while recording clear sound.

Intuitive controls

Use the controls on the built-in transmitter to toggle between the two levels of noise cancellation. The basic level is ideal for quiet indoor environments, reducing noise from fans, air conditioning units and other reverberation noises while preserving vocals. The loud level is ideal for noisy environments and reduces ambient noise for clearer vocals.

Enable automatic limiting to reduce the volume of the audio input, which will prevent clipping and ensure reliable audio quality. This eliminates the need to adjust settings on the fly.

When all else fails, you can quickly adjust five gain levels using the dial on the receiver unit.

Safety track recording is available when you anticipate possible interference, recording a second track 6 dB lower to ensure you have usable audio in fluctuating environments.

Longer battery life

Built-in rechargeable batteries in each transmitter and receiver offer extended run times of 11.5 and 10.5 hours, respectively. Charge the units for just five minutes for an additional hour of use when both are depleted. The included charging case can recharge the entire system 3.6 times for a total extended battery life of 48 hours. In the DJI Mimo app, you can toggle automatic system shutdown, which causes both devices to automatically turn off after 15 minutes if not plugged in, preserving battery life.

The compact DJI Mic Mini features an innovative design for easy storage. Two transmitters, a receiver, cell phone adapters and windscreens can be stored in the carrying case. It is not necessary to remove the windscreens from the transmitters when storing them in the case. The whole set can be used comfortably and is easy to store.

Mono and stereo recording

DJI Mic Mini offers both mono and stereo (dual channel) recording. Audio captured by the two transmitters can be output separately or combined into a single track, offering greater flexibility for post-production.

Safety track: an extra guarantee

By activating a safety track in the DJI Mimo application, DJI Mic Mini can record on two tracks. The primary track records at normal volume, while the secondary track records 6 dB lower, to protect your audio from problems such as clipping or distortion. This ensures that you capture stable audio, even when the volume fluctuates during live performances.

One transmitter and one receiver provide a maximum operating time of 11.5 and 10.5 hours, respectively. A fully charged case provides approximately 3.6 charges, for a total of 48 hours of use, making DJI Mic Mini ideal for long trips, interviews or other heavy use situations.

5-minute fast charge

With only five minutes of charging, you can use both the receiver and transmitter for one hour, which greatly increases charging efficiency. The receiver and transmitter, which support 1.2C fast charging, can be fully charged in approximately 90 and 100 minutes respectively, so you can get back to using them quickly

Automatic transmitter power saving

The transmitter automatically enters sleep mode when it does not detect a signal from the receiver. It will wake up and reconnect to the receiver when it detects the signal again. This feature allows you to wear the transmitter for a long time without having to turn it on and off frequently.

Automatic shutdown

In the DJI Mimo application, you can set the transmitter and receiver to turn off automatically after a period of inactivity. When this feature is enabled on both devices, they will automatically turn off if they are not connected for more than 15 minutes to avoid draining the battery and conserve more power for your creativity.

Direct connection for premium sound quality

The transmitter supports direct Bluetooth connection to Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Action 4 or Osmo Pocket 3 without a receiver. The DJI OsmoAudio connection ecosystem provides premium quality audio, simplifying your equipment and workflow for a more efficient creative process.

Multi-device compatibility for versatile use

The receiver is compatible with cameras, smartphones, computers and tablets. When connected to a camera via the camera audio cable (3.5 mm TRS), it can be turned on/off in sync with the camera. When connected to a smartphone, it allows external playback without having to unplug it, and can be charged via the smartphone. When the receiver is connected to a smartphone and then to a power source via the USB-C port, both devices can be charged simultaneously while in use.

Simple wireless recording

DJI Mic Mini is compatible with the DJI Neo drone. Once the drone is connected to the DJI Fly app, you can connect it to DJI Mic Mini via Bluetooth on your smartphone to record audio. The DJI Fly app automatically removes propeller noise and combines the audio track with the video, ensuring clear sound, even when recording vlogs from low altitude. Produce high-quality content on the fly, with excellent audio and images.

In addition, the transmitter can connect directly via Bluetooth to smartphones without the need for a receiver. DJI Mic Mini offers a more convenient audio recording solution for streamers and content creators who use third-party applications for filming.

DJI Mimo application: improving operational efficiency

When the transmitter is connected to your phone via Bluetooth, you can update the transmitter firmware directly via the Mimo app. By connecting your smartphone to the receiver with a USB-C adapter, you can update the entire system with a single tap in the app. Noise cancellation, auto limit and recording start/stop settings can also be configured in the app.

Comparison of the DJI Mic series
