Designed for both individual use by independent creators and dynamic professional video capture, the Ronin 4D from DJI is an innovative all-in-one camera and stabilizer solution. The "4D" designation refers to the X9-6K camera's integrated Z-axis (vertical) stabilization and three-axis stabilizer stabilization. Constructed from lightweight carbon fiber and aluminum-magnesium alloy, this system is ideal for independent content creators, indie filmmakers and event videographers. Full-frame capture at speeds up to 6K60 in Apple ProRes 422 HQ and Ronin's CineCore 3.0 image processing system with ACES workflow support are also suitable for 4D as a "B" or second unit camera for larger cinema-style productions.

CineCore 3.0 image processing system
The Zenmuse X9, the full-frame camera from DJI, uses a proprietary chip for advanced processing and high-performance computing.
The Ronin 4D uses the CineCore 3.0 system to support internal ProRes 422 HQ and H.264 video
Industry-standard ACES workflow support provides easy compatibility with other film cameras
Advanced 4-axis stabilization
Selectable Z-axis stabilization reduces unwanted vertical camera shake, especially during dolly movements
Z-axis stabilization is integrated in the camera; 3-axis stabilization in the gimbal
Tilt stabilization uses dual, symmetrical motors.
Panoramic and X (roll) axles with additional stiffness damping
Downward time-of-flight (ToF) sensor
Dual forward- and downward-facing vision sensors
Integrated IMU (inertial measurement unit) and barometer
New and improved stabilization algorithm
Zenmuse X9-6K DL lens mount camera
The D4's DL lens mount supports the current selection of lightweight carbon fiber lenses from DJI in 16, 24, 35 and 50 mm.
Full-frame capture with all lenses except 16 mm DL
Interchangeable lens mounts available for use with Sony E-mount or Leica M-mount lenses
Supports anamorphic, macro, zoom electronic, large aperture f/0.95 and ultra wide-angle cine lenses
ProRes 422 HQ and H.264 capture

More than 14 steps of dynamic range produce nuanced images in a variety of lighting conditions.
ND filters on the camera
Built-in ND.03 to ND2.7 filters allow you to easily adapt to rapidly changing lighting conditions
Especially useful for outdoor shots with changing cloud cover.
Motorized filtering system
Carry it in "built in" mode to facilitate company relocations
LiDAR focus control
The LiDAR (light detection and ranging) system uses up to 43,200 distance measurement points within a range of 33 feet.
Excellent focusing performance even in low light environments.
Focus can be displayed graphically, thanks to a built-in depth gauge
Intuitive and highly accurate focusing system.
Modular LiDAR focusing module attached to the front of the D4 unit
Autofocus functions
Maintains focus, even when motion blur is caused by fast-moving subjects
Focusing motor available separately for use with manual lenses
Continuous autofocus supports ActiveTrack Pro, an advantage for individual operators
Single-user or crew-assisted operation
World-class stabilization in a lightweight form factor
Ideal for individual operators as well as for shoots accompanied by assistants.
Designed to counteract the steps of inexperienced users on cameras with stabilizers
It works equally well with a single grip, dual grips, shoulder rest or mounted on a tripod.
Sport mode is available at the touch of a button and allows for faster paced action.
Use in standard, suspended, boom and crane configurations.
Automated manual focus
The AMF (automated manual focus) function combines the precision of manual focus with the ease of autofocus.
Operators can grasp the focus wheel on the right hand grip at any time to focus manually.
The handgrip focus wheel uses dynamic damping to provide a physical feel for focus changes.
ActiveTrack Pro
The ActiveTrack Pro features of DJI combine continuous autofocus with composition adjustment for professional-looking tracking shots right out of the box.
ActiveTrack Pro is based on machine vision, deep learning technology and the computing power of the CineCore 3.0 imaging system from DJI.
Dual focus, iris and control grips
