The CANON BG-E11 Battery Grip for 5D Mark II Camera is an optional battery grip with improved ergonomics designed specifically for the EOS 5D Mark II CANON. It allows users to charge a choice of one or two LP-E6 batteries packs. With two packs, the already impressive battery life doubles, compared to using a single LP-E6 pack in the camera. This is especially useful when taking advantage of the camera's movie mode or Live View mode – operating modes that use more energy. In addition, with the included battery magazine, you can also run the camera six AA batteries.
The BG-E11 also offers all vertical shooting controls, which can be independent on or off, as the photographer needs to improve camera handling, especially for vertical photographs. It features a large number of operation controls as well: shutter release button, main dial, multi-controller, AF point button, AE/FE lock lock button, AF home button, and multi-function button.
