Fuji XT50 + 56mm

The X-T50 has a compact and lightweight body weighing approximately 438 g, and features the 40.2-megapixel "X-Trans CMOS 5 HR" back-illuminated sensor, the high-speed image processing engine "X-Processor 5", and a 5-axis in-body image stabilization function and up to 7.0 stops. It is a versatile model that achieves great image quality, high performance and great mobility. Combined with the new standard zoom lens "FUJINON XF16-50mmF2.8-4.8 R LM WR" announced today, it can be used to take still images in all situations.

In addition, for the first time, a Film Simulation dial is incorporated into the top plate that allows the user to easily switch between "Film Simulations", a key feature exclusive to the company that allows for a wide variety of color tones. The X-T50 also features a new rounded design that achieves both high clamping performance and a compact size.

The X-T50 is a digital camera that combines ease of shooting with a compact, lightweight body and Film Simulation dial, and exceptional features that deliver exceptional image quality, providing even more pleasure in photography.

High image quality and performance thanks to the high-performance sensor and high-speed image processing engine.

The fifth generation of the X series is equipped with the 40.2-megapixel back-illuminated X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor. The latest image processing algorithm delivers high resolution while maintaining a high signal-to-noise ratio.

Improved pixel structure allows more light to be captured efficiently, ISO 125 is adopted as the normal sensitivity, which was previously used as extended sensitivity for cameras. In addition, the electronic shutter can be set to a shutter speed of up to 1/180000 sec., which provides very precise control of the exposure time. It can be shot with a large aperture lens in a wide range of scenes.

• Equipped with AI-based subject detection AF developed using deep learning technology. Now the camera can detect animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, bicycles, planes, trains, insects and drones. In addition, the camera is equipped with a more advanced AF prediction algorithm than previous models. This allows you to more comfortably photograph a wide range of subjects, including cars and fast-moving animals.

A total of 20 "Film Simulation" modes are available for the X-T50, including "REALA ACE", which combines faithful colour reproduction and crisp tonal gradations. You can enjoy a wide variety of color expressions as if you were selecting a photographic film based on the subject or scene.

The digital teleconverter function takes advantage of the high pixel count of approximately 40.2 megapixels.  Images can be enlarged by 1.4x and 2x.

Enhanced features to expand the shooting range.

The camera is also equipped with a 5-axis in-body image stabilization feature with a maximum of 7.0 stops. While maintaining the mobility that has characterized previous models, it allows comfortable shooting even in dark scenes such as night scenes, greatly expanding the shooting field.

6.2K/30P video recording is possible. The tracking AF function during video recording is also available for high-quality video recording.

The camera can shoot in AUTO mode, which detects the scene and automatically selects the optimal shooting settings, simply by operating the AUTO mode shift lever located on the upper surface of the body. The camera automatically detects the subject and follows it while keeping it in focus, making it easy to capture high-quality stills and videos.

Sophisticated product design with the ultimate in functional beauty.

The round-shaped body design is newly adopted. The new grip shape fits comfortably in the hand while maintaining a compact size, resulting in high holding performance.

The new "Movie Simulation Dial" is built into the top plate.  This allows users to switch between movie simulation modes with intuitive operation according to the subject or scene, allowing different color tones to be enjoyed in both still and moving images with ease.

• A pop-up flash integrated with the viewfinder is mounted on the top plate. It automatically controls the amount of light and shows its power in dark scenes and backlit portraits.

The new model features a 1.84-million-dot tilting rear LCD monitor. In addition, the shape of the grip and the arrangement of the buttons on the back of the camera have been adjusted to allow for more comfortable capture of both still and moving images.

Fuji 56mm f1.2  R WR  II lens

The FUJI 56mm f1.2 II R WR Lens is a fast medium telephoto lens with a focal length of 56mm (equivalent to 85mm in 35mm film format). It succeeds the maximum aperture of F1.2, a popular feature of its predecessor "FUJINON XF56mmF1.2 R Lens" (previous model), while boasting a significant improvement in image resolution performance and close-up capability. The fast lens produces beautiful bokeh that adds dimension to visual expressions.

The Fujifilm 56mm f1.2 R II WR consists of 13 elements in eight groups, including two aspherical elements and one ED element. The design minimizes chromatic, spherical and chromatic aberrations to provide higher image resolution performance than the previous model from the minimum object distance (MOD) to infinity. Its F1.2 maximum aperture produces a shallow depth of field to add an artistic touch to images. The surface of the aspherical lens elements is processed with high precision to reduce the onion ring effect and achieve a beautiful bokeh effect. The minimum focusing distance has been reduced by approx. 20cm from the previous model to approx. 50cm*1, allowing users to get closer to the subject in portraits, snapshots and desktop photographs.

The addition of the XF56mmF1.2 R WR further enhances the XF lens lineup, expanding coverage of photographic categories to enhance users' photographic pleasure, provided by the X Series of mirrorless cameras equipped with the APS-C sensor.

Distance from the sensor surface to the subject. The minimum distance from the front end of the lens is approximately 41 cm.

Excellent image resolution performance and beautiful bokeh

  • The lens design, which consists of 13 elements in eight groups, including two aspherical elements and one ED element, suppresses several types of aberration, including chromatic aberration and spherical aberration, to achieve edge-to-edge image sharpness and creamy bokeh that smoothly blurs from the focal plane in the background.
  • The focus group contains a total of eight elements, including three high-refractive elements, which are typically used in cinema camera lenses, to suppress aberration jitter and maintain superior image quality from MOD to infinity.
  • This is the first Fujifilm lens for mirrorless digital cameras to use 11 diaphragm blades to achieve a near-perfect circle at the aperture, better than the previous model. The aspherical elements are produced with a metal mold processed with advanced precision of one hundred-thousandths of a millimeter to suppress the onion ring effect in the bokeh, demonstrating Fujifilm's commitment to creating beautiful bokeh.

Medium telephoto lens with enhanced close-up capability to accommodate a wider variety of shooting situations

  • The new lens, with a focal length of 56mm medium telephoto (equivalent to 85mm in the 35mm format) and the maximum aperture of F1.2, is a perfect choice for portraits to clearly separate the subject from its background.
  • The minimum focusing distance has been reduced to just 50 cm, about 20 cm less than the previous model. The reduced distance restriction in relation to the subject allows users to enjoy a greater variety of photographic situations, such as desktop and snapshot photography.

AF function driven by an evolved DC motor for fast and accurate autofocus

  • The lens uses a DC motor, suitable for driving large items. You can precisely control the focus group, which consists of eight elements and an aperture unit, to automatically focus on the subject quickly and accurately. Advanced autofocus capability ensures you capture decisive photo opportunities even when shooting with a shallow depth of field.
  • The use of a bearing mechanism has successfully reduced the friction that arises when the DC motor is driving the lens elements, effectively reducing the noise of the motor.

Adopting dust and weather resistance and ability to operate at -10°C to improve practical usability

  • The lens is designed to take full advantage of the compact and lightweight "X-mount System"*2, weighing just 445g and measuring 76mm despite being a fast lens with a maximum aperture of F1.2. It reduces the strain on users when walking with the lens mounted on a camera, adding an extra sense of mobility.
  • The lens barrel is weather-sealed in nine places to ensure dust and weather resistance, and it recently adopts the ability to operate at temperatures as low as -10°C. The front lens element is applied with flu.
