To meet the needs of multimedia imagers, the silver FUJIFILM X-T4 is a versatile mirrorless camera that combines advanced imaging and video capabilities along with enhanced workflow and assistive functionality. Using a proven and recognized APS-C format with 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 format, the X-T4 is capable of recording in high resolution along with support for DCI/UHD 4K video at 60fps, Full HD recording up to 240fps, ISO 160-12800 sensitivity and continuous shooting up to 15fps with the mechanical shutter. The sensor's BSI design offers reduced noise and greater overall clarity and combines with the X-Processor 4 for fast performance and improved responsiveness. The sensor design also allows for a hybrid autofocus system that combines 425 phase-detection points with a contrast-detection system for fast and accurate AF performance. In addition, complementing all aspects of image production, the X-T4 also incorporates a 6.5-stop sensor-shift image stabilization system to reduce the appearance of camera shake with almost any lens mounted.

Beyond the sensor and processor capabilities, FUJIFILM's cameras are also appreciated for their physical design, and the X-T4 has an updated design to improve handling and shooting efficiency. A large, bright 3.69m-dot electronic viewfinder can be set to a 100fps refresh rate for noticeable smoothness when scrolling or tracking subjects. By contrast, the 3.0" 1.62m-dot rear LCD touchscreen now features a vari-angle design to accommodate work from high, low, and front angles; or it can close against the body if you only work with the EVF. Dual SD UHS-II memory card slots offer flexibility for saving files and the X-T4 supports the upgraded high-capacity NP-W235 battery that provides approximately 600 shots per charge. In addition, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth allow wireless remote control of the camera and sharing images on a mobile device.

  • 26.1MP APS-C X-Trans BSI CMOS 4 Sensor and Processor X4

Revolving around a highly versatile sensor, the X-T4 features a 26.1MP APS-C formatted 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 sensor, which has a backlit design to enable smooth tonal rendering, improved low-light performance, and a wide native sensitivity range of ISO 160-12800. As an X-Trans sensor, it also uses a random pixel array, which provides a high degree of image quality and sharpness due to the omission of an optical low-pass filter. Compared to conventional pixel patterns, the X-Trans design more closely mimics the organic nature of film to produce nuanced colors and tonal transitions, while reducing moiré and aliasing.

The sensor design also includes an expanded phase-detection autofocus system, which has 425 selectable points that cover almost the entire sensor area. This AF system delivers faster, more accurate focusing performance in a variety of lighting conditions down to -6 EV. Complementing the imaging and focusing capabilities, an updated X-Processor 4 is also introduced, which has a quad-core CPU and offers faster and more responsive performance across the camera system, including a 15fps shooting speed at full resolution with the mechanical shutter, 20fps speed with an electronic shutter, or a speed of 30 fps with an electronic shutter and a crop of 1.25x.

  • In-body image stabilization

Built-in 5-axis image stabilization with sensor shift helps minimize camera shake by up to 6.5 stops. This system works in tandem with most X-series lenses, including non-stabilized ones, and benefits from working with slower shutter speeds and shooting in difficult lighting conditions. In addition, 4-axis digital image stabilization can also be used during video recording to further help stabilize footage, especially when shooting handheld.

  • UHD and DCI 4K video recording

Expanding its capabilities beyond stills, the X-T4 offers a versatile array of video capabilities, including internal DCI/UHD 4K recording at up to 60fps and Full HD recording at up to 240fps for ultra-slow-motion playback. The speed of the X-Processor 4, which greatly benefits the overall video performance, allows for fast read speeds when recording video and helps reduce shutter distortion when shooting moving subjects. In addition, a micro-HDMI port allows for 4:2:2 10-bit recording on an optional external recorder.

In addition to the supported 10-bit color depth, the X-T4 also includes the F-Log gamma setting, which provides a flat image for use in advanced color grading software during editing. This maximizes the potential dynamic range in difficult scenes and image adjustments can also be made to bring out tone, shadow tone, color, and sharpness.

In addition, the camera features a 3.5mm microphone jack and a 2.5mm remote port with included headphone adapter for more advanced audio solutions.

  • Body Features

  • FUJIFILM XF 56mm f/1.2 R

Designed for bokeh enthusiasts, the FUJIFILM XF APD 56mm f/1.2 R features a unique optical design, a flattering vertical length field of view, and an especially fast f/1.2 maximum aperture. Differentiating itself from FUJIFILM's other XF 56mm f/1.2 lens, this APD version incorporates an apodization filter to produce an aesthetically pleasing out-of-focus quality to suit selective focus applications.

Complementing the lens's unique bokeh-related attributes is an equally sophisticated optical design, featuring aspherical and extra-low dispersion elements to help reduce a variety of aberrations, color fringing, and distortion. A Super EBC coating is also used to reduce flare and ghosting to improve contrast and color accuracy in bright, backlit conditions. In addition, this lens also features an internal focusing mechanism for fast focusing performance along with a rounded seven-blade diaphragm to further contribute to a pleasing bokeh quality.

  • The Prime vertical length lens is designed for Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras with APS-C format and provides a focal length equivalent to 85mm.
  • The especially bright f/1.2 maximum aperture excels in low-light conditions and also offers remarkable control over depth of field for using selective focus techniques.
  • Signified by the APD designation, this lens incorporates an apodization filter to produce controllable and aesthetically pleasing bokeh, characterized by sharp main subjects, tremendously blurred background, and an overall three-dimensional quality.
  • Since the apodization filter works best with wider aperture values, a 3-stop ND filter is incorporated into the lens to help control exposure. Using two separate sets of aperture values, the red series of numbers indicates the effective aperture value relative to depth of field. The standard white set of numbers indicates the actual f/stop number, and the difference between these two sets of numbers indicates the effectiveness of the filter.
  • A double-sided aspherical element limits distortion and spherical aberration for sharper and accurate rendering.
  • Two extra-low dispersion elements reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations to provide greater clarity and color accuracy.
  • Super EBC coating has been applied to individual elements to reduce lens flare and ghosting to improve contrast and color fidelity when working in bright lighting conditions.
  • The internal focus design delivers fast and quiet autofocus performance that benefits both still images and video applications.
  • The rounded seven-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing out-of-focus quality to benefit the use of selective focus and shallow depth of field techniques.
