A new telephoto zoom in the X-series is weather-resistant and high-performance, with a constant F2.8 aperture, powerful image stabilization and the world's first triple linear motor.

FUJINON XF50-140mm F2.8 R LM OIS WR offers a focal length equivalent to 76-213mm*1, and a constant F2.8 aperture across the range. With a lens construction of 23 glass elements in 16 groups, featuring five lens ED elements and one super lens ED element with low dispersion characteristics comparable to those of fluorite lenses, chromatic aberrations have been significantly reduced. In addition, the use of the new Nano-GI (gradient index) coating technology ensures that this high-performance lens delivers appropriate results as XF's flagship telephoto zoom lens.

The length of the lens drum remains constant throughout the zoom range, and features a dust- and weather-resistant finish that can also work in low temperatures down to -10°C. Thanks to the high-performance gyro sensor, a unique image stabilization algorithm, and the bright F2.8 aperture, hand-holding the device is possible in a wider variety of conditions. Meanwhile, the world's first triple linear motor allows you to shoot comfortably and in fast and quiet autofocus.

Optical design for image quality with reference telephoto zoom

• To deliver best-in-class image quality, this luxurious telephoto zoom uses an optical construction that includes 23 glass elements in 16 groups, with five lens ED elements and one Super ED comparable to fluorite lenses. This maximizes the reduction of chromatic aberrations and offers outstanding resolving capability.
• Applying Fujifilm's unique HT-EBC (High Transmittance Electron Beam Coating) coating to the entire surface area of the lens ensures that ghosting and flare are controlled to deliver clear, sharp images. In addition, using the newly developed Nano-GI (gradient index) coating technology, which alters the refractive index between glass and air, ghosting and flare are effectively reduced by diagonally striking light.
• Like other XF lenses, seven rounded aperture blades create a smooth, circular bokeh. An optical design has been used that generates beautiful bokeh on the front and back.
• An internal zoom mechanism allows the lens to remain in length. so that the balance of the lens remains the same during the zoom range.
• By combining this lens with an X-series camera body *3 with Lens Modulation Optimizer *2 (LMO) technology, lens performance has been further improved. LMO corrects for diffraction*4 to produce incredibly sharp images and create a realistic three-dimensional effect even at small apertures.
