This Super Tele lens FUJI 150-600mm f5.6-8 R LM OIS WR is the definitive answer for those expected among users who love sports nature photography, and who will already be able to enjoy the spectacular 229mm-914mm in traditional photography or even exceed those limits by adding the brand's teleconverters. In addition to fast and highly accurate AF as well as its 5-stop optical stabilization system, all in a compact and lightweight size.
Features of the Telephoto FUJI 150-600mm f5.6-8 R LM OIS WR:
1) zoom lens covering the longest super-telephoto range in the Fujifilm line in pursuit of superior image quality
The new lens covers the longest focal length range in the Fujifilm lineup, from 150mm telephoto to 600mm super-telephoto (equivalent to 229mm – 914mm in the 35mm film format), making it the perfect choice for wildlife, bird and sports photography.
Consisting of 24 lens elements in 17 groups, including three ED elements and four Super ED elements, the lens completely suppresses axial chromatic aberration, which is often seen in super-telephoto lenses. It offers a high level of edge-to-edge image resolution performance over the entire zoom range.
The HT-EBC coating, which is typically used in transmission lenses, has been applied to all elements to achieve high transmittance and low reflectance despite containing 24 lens elements.
Supports "XF2X TC WR" and "XF1.4X TC WR" teleconverters. When paired with the XF2X TC WR, this lens covers a range of focal lengths from 300mm to 1200mm (equivalent to 457mm - 1828mm in the 35mm film format).
(2) Rugged yet lightweight design to reduce user burden, allowing for prolonged shooting in a variety of situations
It weighs only 1605 g despite being a super telephoto zoom that reaches up to 600 mm (equivalent to 914 mm in the 35 mm film format). Two Super ED elements are used as front-facing elements to keep the lens body small while still maintaining an advanced level of image resolution performance. The use of the Inner Zoom system means that the lens body has a simple, non-extensible structure. The result is a lightweight lens that makes zoom easily with no changes in weight distribution.
The lens body is matte silver to mitigate its temperature rise during operation. This reduces the risk of the lens heating up even during wildlife, bird, or sports photography in sweltering heat, giving users peace of mind.
Magnesium alloy is used for the internal base frame that supports the lens structure to keep the weight down and make it sturdy at the same time.
The lens barrel is weather-sealed in 19 locations to ensure dust and weather resistance and the ability to operate in temperatures up to minus 10 degrees Celsius. It can withstand use in nature photography in a snowfield or in the tropics, or in sports photography under adverse weather conditions.
(3) 5-stop image stabilization mechanism
With the 600mm super-telephoto focal length (equivalent to 914mm in the 35mm film format), the longest in Fujifilm's line (*1), the size of the camera's movement becomes too large to control with in-body image stabilization. Therefore, it becomes necessary to apply a fine adjustment of the optical axis on the lens before an image is formed on the sensor. The XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR features a high-precision detection and control system to deliver a 5-stop optical image stabilization mechanism (*2), one of the most powerful for super-telephoto zooms, making it easier than ever to shoot in the super-telephoto range, more susceptible to camera shake. Users can take full advantage of the mobility of the compact X-mount when shooting handheld super-telephoto shots.

*2 CIPA compliant in pitch/yaw directions
(4) Various functions for fast and quiet AF and easy AF operation
The lens uses the Inner Focus system, which drives the compact and lightweight focus lens cluster with a linear motor for fast and quiet AF. Focusing is achieved quickly and accurately in just 0.25 seconds (*3), even in the hard-to-focus super-telephoto range, ensuring you capture a decisive photo opportunity.
The Focus Preset function is introduced so that the lens remembers the focus for a predefined location with the SET button (*4). Users can continue shooting without having to readjust focus on a target subject.
The focus limiter is another feature that allows users to restrict the autofocus range of the lens. This can effectively shorten AF time when photographing a subject that is 5 meters or more. The focus limiter can be activated with the focus range selector.
The focus control button is located on the front edge of the lens barrel (*4). Use the focus selection switch for greater AF operability and focus lock.
*3 AF speed measured at the telephoto end, using an internal metering method that complies with CIPA guidelines, when mounted on the "FUJIFILM X-T4" mirrorless digital camera with phase detection AF enabled and the high-performance mode activated. The AF speed at the wide-angle end under identical conditions is approx. 0.15 seconds.
*4 The camera's firmware must be updated to activate the Focus Preset function and the Focus Control button. The update will be released later for the FUJIFILM X-T4, FUJIFILM X-T3 and FUJIFILM X-S10.
