Product Details

A timecode generator is included for reference at the location, and can be synchronized from an SMTP generator, a camera, or a smart slate. HDMI input and output allows a DSLR camera to start recording on both devices, while the video clock prevents the derivation between sound and image.

Four microphone inputs can be recorded and mixed individually on a stereo track, for a total of six recording tracks. For additional tracks, multiple units can be cascaded. Its rigid, yet lightweight chassis is forged from a magnesium alloy. Tripod mounts on the top and bottom of the unit allow mounting under a camera, connecting it to a tracking focus cage, or using it independently.

Designed for the needs of professional filmmakers, television producers, advertisers and documentary filmmakers, the DR-701D packages high-quality multitrack recording into a package compact enough for use with any camera.
