Contact usFollowing the resounding success of the X1D-50c and its upgrade with the X1D II 50C, the powerful new X2D 100C Hasselblad introduced, along with three new XCD series lenses, the XCD 2.5/38V, XCD 2.5/55V and XCD 2.5/90V that offer an unrivalled experience for content creators.
Hasselblad's new generation of medium-format mirrorless camera, the X2D 100C, was designed to bring substantial technological innovations to image quality, camera handling and operating system response speed. Designed in a lead-colored machined aluminum body, the X2D 100C features a built-in 100-megapixel back-illuminated (BSI) (43.8 × 32.9mm) CMOS sensor and features a dynamic range of 15 stops with about 16-bit color depth. The X2D 100C enables a creative experience that wasn't available before. It empowers content creators to capture the ins and outs of highlights and shadows, leveraging color management Hasselblad Natural Colour Solution (HNCS).
Handheld photography is possible in a wide variety of conditions thanks to the new 5-axis 7-stop camera body-built stabilization system. Hasselblad has developed its own image stabilizer exclusively for the X2D 100C to meet the specific needs of stabilizing a 100MP sensor. When designing the camera, keeping both weight and size to a minimum was kept in mind for easy portability, which is why the X2D 100C contains the most compact IBIS medium format solution on the market.
The X2D 100C features a 0.5" electronic viewfinder (EVF) with 5.76 mio. pixel display that is capable of 1.00x magnification with a 60fps refresh rate to ensure that the screen looks bright and sharp from corner to corner.
In addition, it has a 1.08" color top screen and a 3.6" 2.36MP touchscreen and tilting rear screen that allows access to all parameters, while maintaining the Hasselblad user interface (HUI) and the Scandinavian, elegant and simple style, original to the X system. The battery has a CIPA rating of up to 420 shots and supports PD 3.0 fast charging. To all this it is important to mention that the X2D 100C is compatible with Phocus, Hasselblad's free image processing software.
"When we were developing the X2D 100C, our goal has been the same as always, as Victor Hasselblad himself put it decades ago: 'build a better camera,'" says Bronius Rudnickas, marketing director at Hasselblad. This commitment leads us to explore how to improve its performance in all aspects"
Hasselblad XCD 45mm f/4 P lens
Impressively portable, Hasselblad 's XCD 45mm f/4 P is a sleek wide-angle that's distinguished by its compact and lightweight form factor. Designed for X-series medium format mirrorless cameras, this lens offers a familiar focal length equivalent to 36mm for working in a wide variety of situations. Two aspherical elements are featured in the optical design, which reduce a variety of aberrations and distortions to improve sharpness and clarity. Its 1.1' close minimum focus distance also suits working with close-up subjects and a mechanical focusing system provides a more tactile feel when focusing manually. Autofocus is also fast and quiet, and this lens also incorporates a revised center lens shutter for remarkably quiet performance along with support for shutter speeds up to 1/2000 second with flash sync at all speeds.
Hasselblad XCD 80mm f/1.9 lens
Characterised by its unique, slightly longer than normal focal length and fast design, the Hasselblad XCD 80mm f/1.9 is a 63mm equivalent prime lens designed for the X series of mirrorless medium format cameras. The distinct focal length and bright f/1.9 maximum aperture are particularly suitable for portraits and combine with the 2.3' minimum focusing distance to isolate subjects with shallow depth of field. Like other XCD lenses, the 80mm f/1.9 has a built-in center lens shutter that is capable of shutter speeds of up to 1/2000 sec with flash sync at all speeds, and its autofocus design can be manually overridden for tight focus control.
The Hasselblad X2D + 80mm + 45mm f4 kit offers excellent quality thanks to the two included lenses specially chosen by the brand to offer good results in urban or nature photography. The X2D features a 100MP BSI CMOS sensor with 5-axis in-body stabilization and the ability to use memory cards up to 1Tb
