Contact usThe story of Hasselblad began as a provocative challenge to produce a better camera. In 1941, Hasselblad did just that, launching its first camera, the HK-7. From then on, Hasselblad continued to reinvent camera technology and break photographic norms. Photographers have relied on Hasselblad cameras for eighty years, capturing countless iconic moments and heartwarming stories. Now more than ever, Hasselblad is driven by its founding aspirations to innovate in the chamber and exemplify quality craftsmanship.
In 2021, we commemorate these eighty years of Hasselblad 's legacy with the limited-edition Hasselblad 907X 907X aniversary edition . This kit is inspired by the iconic SWC camera and features a lunar gray anodized rim and lens and a black faux leather case. By projecting this classic in a new light, Hasselblad celebrates an extraordinary journey and a continuous spirit of innovation.
The 907x Anniversary Hasselblad Kit includes a CFV II 50C digital back, a 907X camera body, control grip, optical viewfinder and XCD 3.5/30 lens. All components are special edition designs with custom details for the anniversary kits. The 30mm etched wide-angle lens was carefully selected to echo the 38mm Biogon wide-angle lens used in the SWC.
The camera and grip are covered in a black-grain faux leather and highlighted with anodized edges. One side of the camera features a commemorative plaque that reads "Since 1941," while "Hasselblad" in handwritten letters marks both the camera body and the optical viewfinder.
The Anniversary Edition lens features a focus ring delicately engraved with a printed Hasselblad logo. When ingenuity meets art, eight decades of legacy are condensed into a masterpiece that can be sustained
Down to the smallest detail, the 907x Anniversary Edition Hasselblad Kit serves as a nostalgic nod and a tribute to the spirit of innovation.
Uniquely modular, the Medium Format Hasselblad 907X Anniversary Edition is a medium format camera system that combines design elements from your classic film cameras with contemporary imaging capabilities from your digital age. The 907X 50C platform comprises the CFV II 50C digital backing and the 907X camera body, which work together as a distinct and versatile camera system.
The 907X has the distinction of being the smallest medium format camera ever created by Hasselblad, at just over an inch thick, and the lightest at 7 oz. However, reminiscent of the shape of the famous 500 series V-system cameras, this simple camera body primarily serves as an interface between the V-interface of the CFV II 50C digital backrest and the X-mount for working with XCD lenses or lenses adapted from other mounts.
The 907X Hasselblad Camera + 50c CFV II Backing is an updated and refined digital backing that features a classic V-system interface for use on the included 907X, as well as virtually any V Hasselblad camera from 1957 onwards. Designed with the classic A12 and A16 film backs in mind, this digital backing has been equipped with versatile digital capabilities, revolving around a 43.8 x 32.9 mm, 50 MP CMOS sensor, which produces high-resolution images with a wide dynamic range of 14 stops, 16 bit color depth, and an ISO 100-25600 sensitivity range. This sensor also uses Hasselblad's natural color solution, which delivers pleasant, realistic color tones for great consistency and smooth tonal transitions. On the Hasselblad 907X + 50c Backrest Camera the rear design also incorporates a 3.0" 920k-dot rear tilting touchscreen LCD screen, to recall the experience of working with a waist-level finder, and now houses the rechargeable lithium-ion battery internally for a sleeker overall profile. Wi-Fi allows wireless remote control and file transfer via Phocus Mobile 2 and a built-in GPS module allows location data to be recorded for geotagging.
907X Camera Body
Characterized by its impressively compact and lightweight design, the 907X is the smallest medium format camera body in Hasselblad and serves as the discreet interface between the digitally backed V CFV II 50C system interface and the X system mirrorless lens range. By providing an X System lens mount, this opens up the opportunity to pair the CFV II with the autofocus and XCD lenses enabled with blade shutter, as well as HC, HCD, V, XPan and other third-party lenses via optional adapters. . Using the 907X also allows for greater access to wide-angle lens options, compared to the V system, when using XCD lenses.
CFV II 50C digital backrest
50 MP CMOS sensor and natural color solution Hasselblad
Rotating around a large 50MP CMOS sensor, measuring 43.8 x 32.9mm, the CFV II 50C is capable of capturing an extremely wide dynamic range of up to 14 stops along with vivid 16-bit color depth. When combined with Hasselblad's natural color solution, tonal transitions and skin tones show immense depth, detail, and clarity for lifelike image quality, even in areas of dark shadows and areas of bright highlights. To suit working in a variety of lighting conditions, a sensitivity range of ISO 100-25600 is available and fixed files are saved in the raw file format Hasselblad 3FR or as JPEGs.
The 907X 50C Medium Format Hasselblad Works with the spectacular image quality of the 50MP CMOS sensor, Hasselblad 's natural color solution is designed to deliver images with the most natural color without the need to delve into a variety of presets. This system is also capable of creating images with exceptionally smooth tonal transitions reminiscent of analog movie capture, which is due in part to the CFV II's 16-bit color depth.
Backrest Design
Features Hasselblad XCD 30mm f/3.5
With a sleek design that matches the X1D camera system, Hasselblad 's XCD 30mm f/3.5 lens is a 24mm equivalent wide-angle lens designed to cover the camera's large 43.8 x 32.9mm sensor area. This wide lens, with a 71° angle of view, is ideal for landscape, architecture and reportage photography applications. It also features a minimum focusing distance of 1.3' along with an optical design aimed at maintaining image quality and sharpness throughout the focus range for accurate representation of foreground subjects. Like other XCD lenses, the 30mm f/3.5 has a built-in center lens shutter that is capable of shutter speeds of up to 1/2000 second with flash sync at all speeds, and its internal autofocus design can be manually overridden for precise manual focus control.
Features Hasselblad 907X grip
Complementing the camera body and the unique medium format digital back, the Hasselblad 907X Control Grip offers more intuitive operation and tactile control over the camera system. This dedicated grip features a shutter release button, allows for quick adjustment of the aperture and shutter speed via the control dial, and allows AF point selection via the integrated joystick.
Additional buttons provide direct access to the CFV's back-of-the-box menu system and image review options, and the four buttons can be customized to customize settings to suit different workflow needs.
The grip attaches to the back and body combination via a 1/4"-20 tripod stand and benefits from working from eye- or waist-level positions, and also works as an ideal alternative to the back touchscreen interface if working with gloves.
Features Hasselblad 907X optical viewfinder
The Hasselblad 907X optical viewfinder, dedicated to the unique camera body and medium format digital back, is an auxiliary finder for more accurate viewing at eye level. With a design reminiscent of the classic SWC Hasselblad finder, this simple body-mounted OVF connects via the camera's accessory shoe and has a wide field of view with frame line markings for the 21mm, 30mm, and 45mm XCD lenses, along with a central cross to aid in alignment.
The 907x Anniversary Hasselblad Kit has been taken care of down to the last detail to obtain a unique combination inspired by the first wide-angle camera created by Hasselblad in 1950. In the box you will find Camera Hasselblad 907X anniversary edition next to the leather-covered control grip with anodized edges and a plaque where you will see carved "Since 1941". Finally you have a powerful CFV II 50C digital back and the XCD 30mm f3.5 Anniversary Edition lens where on its delicately engraved focus ring you will see the Hasselblad logo.
