Fuji X H2S + 56mm f1.2 R APD

Fuji XH2S + 56mm f1.2 APD

The XH2S + 56mm f1.2 APD FUJI is the ideal combination for shooting portraits. The camera has the X Trans sensor with a high-speed and highly accurate autofocus. It is also the first to release the X-Processor 5, a state-of-the-art processor capable of recording in 6.2K at 30Fps or 120 frames at 4K resolutions that joins this fixed focal length equivalent to 85mm with an exclusive apodization filter which allows you to soften the contours more when shooting at full apertures of up to 1.2 achieving a spectacular bokeh effect.

XH2S FUJI Camera Features

1. X-Trans™ CMOS 5 HS: This 26.16 MP image sensor inherits the backlight style of the previous model, but also adopts the stacked layer structure to become the first stacked APS-C sensor capable of quadrupling the signal reading speed compared to the current model It has drastically improved performance, including the blackout-free burst mode of up to 40 fps*6 and a significantly better AF rate during continuous shooting. In terms of video performance, the sensor can record 4K/60P video without cropping with a substantially reduced rolling shutter effect.

2. X-Processor 5: The new processor has twice the processing speed of the current model. It has improved image resolution at low ISO sensitivity and reduced noise at high ISO sensitivity in photographs, while delivering significantly improved accuracy and AF speed. The use of the AI processor allows for AF subject detection, tracking a target subject more accurately. In video, the processor allows for 10-bit 4:2:2 video shooting at 6.2K/30P and 4K/120P, and supports a variety of codecs, including Apple ProRes 422 HQ*7. It also has lower power consumption, extending the maximum video recording time and supports a CFexpressTM Type B memory card.

The X-H2S takes full advantage of the capability of fifth-generation devices to achieve a substantial performance improvement.

(1) Major Burst Mode Capability Increase: The camera can apply AF/AE tracking on uninterrupted continuous shots at up to 40 frames per second, and can shoot more than 1000 frames continuously when you set the high-speed burst shooting mode to 30 frames per second (JPEG) or 20 frames per second (RAW). *8

(2) Drastically Evolved AF Performance: The higher number of AF calculations performed per second has improved AF accuracy, provides a subject recognition AF function, and improves the prediction algorithm to dramatically improve zone AF and the ability to follow a moving subject in low-light conditions. contrasting environment.

(3) Improved Video Performance: The camera supports 4:2:2 10-bit video recording at 6.2K/30P and 4K/120P internally. The sensor's readout speed during video recording has been improved to 1/180 second, eliminating the rolling shutter effect. Supports three Apple ProRes codecs; ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422 and ProRes 422 LT. When recording ProRes, X-H2S also supports proxy recording as ProRes 422 Proxy. Another new feature is the F-Log2 capability with dynamic range expanded to over 14 stops, allowing for much smoother tonal expression.

  • Features of the FUJI 56mm f1.2 R APD lens

FUJINON XF 56mm F1.2 R APD is an autofocus lens for digital cameras with APS-C size sensors and provides a focal length equivalent to 85mm*1. The lens has a maximum aperture of F1.2, making it the world's brightest autofocus lens for digital cameras with an APS-C sensor. In addition, the new apodization filter makes it the perfect choice for portraits, with each strand of hair clearly visible in a unique bokeh effect.

This lens is very portable. When attached to an X-series camera body, it weighs almost half*2 as much as a DSLR camera with a single lens of the same focal length and F-value, and it's also quick to use thanks to quiet, high-speed autofocus.

It produces not only beautiful bokeh, but also maintains sharpness with precise focus even at a shallow depth of field. It's a big advantage of the mirrorless system over the DSLR, thanks to the focus on the image sensor itself rather than the standalone PD sensor. The shutter on the X-Series bodies is equally quiet, so it's easy to capture more natural images of all kinds of objects.

  • Key features

Apodization filter offers more creative portraits

XF 56mm F1.2 R APD delivers bright levels of sharpness even when shooting with the aperture at F1.2. In addition, the apodization filter smooths the contours of the bokeh. XF 56mm F1.2 R APD delivers bright levels of sharpness even when shooting with the aperture at F1.2. In addition, the apodization filter smooths the contours of the bokeh. This combination of image sharpness with beautiful bokeh delivers portraits with a three-dimensional look.

An optical construction of 11 glass elements in eight groups has been used, including one molded glass aspherical lens element and two extra-low dispersion lens elements. Spherical aberrations are corrected by the aspherical glass element to provide high resolution at maximum aperture setting. In addition, thanks to the combination of two extra-low dispersion lens elements and three reinforced lens elements, chromatic aberrations are greatly reduced.

Applying Fujifilm's unique HT-EBC (High Transmittance Electron Beam Coating) coating to all lens surfaces controls ghosting and flare to deliver clear, crisp results.

The lens also takes full advantage of Fujifilm's unique X-TransTM CMOS low-pass filterless sensor for very high image quality. Ghosting and flare are controlled even in complex conditions such as backlighting.

By combining this lens with an X-series camera body *5 with Lens Modulation Optimizer (LMO) technology, the lens's performance has been further improved. LMO corrects diffraction*6 to produce incredibly sharp images and create a realistic three-dimensional effect even at small apertures.

Autofocus for a lens with an apodization filter

In the past, the apodization filter was only used with a manual focus lens, and this is the first to use high-precision contrast AF.

Combined with an X-series camera body, more natural images of subjects can be obtained thanks to the near-silent sound of the shutter.

Photo Film Effects with Film Simulation Function

The X-Series interchangeable-lens cameras are equipped with film simulation modes, which have been developed based on Fujifilm's 80-year industry experience to deliver film-like colours and tones. With the combination of this lens with Pro Neg mode. Film simulation screen, which has been specifically designed for photographic portraiture, reproduces beautiful skin tones. High-quality construction and comfortable operation

The apodization filter delivers its best results in the widest openings. To enable the wide apertures to be used even in bright environments, an ND filter is included that adjusts the brightness in three levels. To indicate the apodization effect, the lens features an aperture ring that indicates the effective F-number in red. The difference between the effective F and F number indicates the effectiveness of the apodization filter.

The aperture and focus rings are made of metal, and metal is also used on the outside of the lens body to provide a high-quality finish. The texture and torque of the rings make shooting more comfortable even in delicate manual focus.
