The Hasselblad XCD 3.4/75P is a standard lens with a focal length equivalent to 59mm for ram, combining powerful performance with a lightweight and agile design. Not only does the appeal of your work stand out for its exceptional optical quality, thanks to its many ingenious lightweight design elements, the photographic experience is rewarding and simplicity prevails. This new lens is ideal for portrait and street photography.
Master Light and Shadow, Release Brightness
The XCD 3.4/75P adopts an optical structure of ten elements in ten groups, including one aspherical element and three ED elements, which effectively suppress chromatic dispersion. This sophisticated design results in a compact form factor and delivers powerful optical performance that meets the resolution demands of a 100-megapixel sensor. Both in the center and at the edges of the frame, it provides crisp and clear images, as well as vivid and realistic colors.
In addition, compared to the XCD 4/28P and XCD 4/45P lenses in the same series, the XCD 3.4/75P's maximum aperture is widened from f/4 to f/3.4. This allows more detail to be captured in low-light portraits and produces more attractive bokeh .
Explore diverse topics with a unique perspective
The XCD 3.4/75P is the XCD P series' longest focal length, aperture medium format lens to date*. With a focal length equivalent to 59 mm, it sits between standard and mid-telephoto lenses, thus combining the advantages of both. It is suitable for full-length and half-body portraits, street photography, and still life.
The longer focal length combined with the maximum aperture of f/3.4 provides smooth, natural bokeh , creating pleasing portrait images. Its performance rivals that of the XCD 2.8/65, a lens known for its large aperture.
Elegance in Lightness
The XCD 3.4/75P continues the design language of the new generation of XCD P series lenses. Its sleek metal body is accentuated by a signature "H" pattern around the focus ring, highlighting Hasselblad's distinctive style.
Weighing just 398g and measuring just 71mm in length, it's 45% lighter and 24% shorter than the XCD 2.8/65, making it the ideal choice for portrait and street photography
Focus on Beauty
The XCD 3.4/75P adopts a linear stepper motor and a lighter and smaller focus lens group, which means that the focus lens group can quickly reach the focus position and achieve a precise stop, resulting in a more sensitive focus.
The linear stepper motor allows for more precise control of the focus lens group, improving focus accuracy, while the lighter and smaller focus lens group allows for faster focusing. When paired with System X or System V medium format digital cameras that support PDAF (Phase Detection Autofocus), you'll appreciate the experience of fast, quiet, accurate and flexible focusing.
The XCD 3.4/75P features a compact reed shutter module that operates with minimal vibration and noise. This allows you to shoot with confidence in quiet environments.
In addition, the reed shutter offers speeds of up to 1/2000 second, making it easy to capture moving subjects at high speed. It also supports flash synchronization at all speeds, allowing you to use the flash to darken the surrounding background and highlight your subject even in bright sunlight, achieving exceptional results.
