Canon has launched the new C400, an addition to its CINEMA EOS camera range, as well as a new Cine Servo lens, with RF or PL mount options, including the eXs-V digital drive unit and a new L-series hybrid prime lens for videographers and photographers.

The EOS C400 features a powerful full-frame 6K BSI sensor, 16 stops of dynamic range, triple-base ISO and an updated and improved design with optimised connectivity in a compact and robust body. Offering warm skin tones and the pleasant natural image that Canon is known for, along with enhanced professional connectivity, the EOS C400 is your customer's ally in film, live broadcast and virtual productions.

The CN7x17 KAS T is Canon'zoom first RF-mount Super 35mm Cine Servo lens with a PL mount option. It features the new eXs-V digital drive unit with a wide optical zoom of 7x (17-120mm), which will appeal to sports and live news teams, as well as producers of documentaries, film and remote and virtual productions. With support for ZEISS eXtended DataTM and Cooke /i TechnologyTM on the updated PL-mount model, plus real-time shading and distortion correction, detailed frame-by-frame metadata for VFX workflows and high-speed communication for virtual production workflows on the RF model, the CN7x17 KAS T delivers precise performance.

A new adapter, the Canon PL-RF Mount Adapter, also joins the range of lens accessories, with great versatility for use on a wide variety of PL lenses with the EOS C400, including Canon's Sumire Prime lenses.

It supports resolutions up to 8K HDR from center to edge, with organic color reproduction. With its 11-blade iris, the CN7X17 KAS T produces softly diffused highlights and silky blurred backgrounds. Its wide 7x optical zoom , with a focal length of 17 to 120 mm, offers a versatile shooting experience.

Thanks to the RF mount, the CN7X17 KAS T offers lens distortion correction and real-time metadata recording. In addition, PL mount users enjoy Cooke /i TechnologyTM and ZEISS eXtended DataTM. Both mounts support virtual production and visual effects workflows.

Redesigned digital drive unit

Shoot with precision thanks to the fast servo control with optical correction of focus misalignment, ensuring more intuitive performance. Canon RF 24mm f1.4 L VCM lens

The new features offer even more convincing subjects for stills and videos thanks to the RF 24mm F1.4L VCM and RF 50mm F1.4L VCM, two fast prime lenses that join the RF 35mm F1.4L VCM in Canon's innovative range of hybrid lenses.

The RF 24mm F1.4L VCM offers a wide focal length of 24mm ideal for landscapes, architecture and interiors, as well as environmental portraits, recordings and video interviews, where it is important to show context.

The RF 50mm F1.4L VCM offers a very useful 50mm focal length that provides exceptional sharpness and image quality, along with a pleasant and natural viewing angle similar to that of the human eye, making it perfect for low-light portraits, reportage, weddings and event videos with a cinematic look.

These two prime lenses offer a fast f/1.4 aperture, which is ideal in low-light conditions, and use a Nano USM and voice coil motor for exceptional speed and near-silent operation. They also allow you to work in difficult conditions thanks to the design of the L3 series, which contains high-quality glass elements. The fluorite coating prevents dirt from sticking to the front lenses, while the dedicated lens control ring and customizable lens function button give you personalized control.

Designed to reflect and meet the converging video and still market, these hybrid lenses incorporate video features such as an iris ring, minimal focus mismatch and smooth focusing, as well as stunning image quality. The RF 24mm F1.4L VCM is approximately 20% lighter than its predecessor EF, while the RF 50mm F1.4L VCM is 40% lighter than the RF 50mm F1.2L USM. They are also the same size and shape as the rest of the range of hybrid prime lenses, so they can be mounted more easily for video recording.
