A vintage-style full-length prime lens suitable for everyday use, the Thypoch Simera 50mm f/1.4 lens offers versatile full-frame optics designed for M-mount cameras. This fully manual focus lens offers an impressive minimum focusing distance of 17.7", allowing for detailed close-up shots. The unlocking aperture switch located on the body allows for seamless transitions between smooth operation and click operation, making this lens ideal for both videography and photography. With high-refractive index multi-layer coatings and high-refractive index elements, light transmission of up to T1.5 is possible, resulting in vibrant, color-accurate images with reduced chromatic aberrations. While the lens's fast f/1.4 aperture allows this prime lens to stand out in low-light conditions, its 14-blade diaphragm creates a round and flattering bokeh effect.

Optical design

Designed to correct spherical and chromatic aberrations, the optical design of the Simera 50mm f/1.4 features 8 elements in 6 groups, including one aspherical element, one extra-low dispersion (ED) element, and three high refractive index (HRI) elements.

Endurance Reminder

When rotated to 0.7m, you'll feel a damping that alerts you that the lens's focusing distance is about to exceed the limit of the camera body, reminding you to switch to the EVF for shorter focus ranges.
