Designed in homage to the legendary Kern Macro-Switar lens for 35mm Alpa cameras, the Thypoch Simera lens incorporates bright, low-light optics in a sleek aluminum housing for high-quality images in a wide variety of shooting scenarios. Its large aperture also enhances depth-of-field effects, such as bokeh and subject-background separation. With a detachable aperture ring and a slotted focus tab, the lens's manual focus design is tactile and manageable. The optical design includes an extra-low dispersion element, two high refractive index elements, and an aspherical element for greater clarity from the center to the edge of the frame.

Thypoch currently has three series: Simera and Eureka are photography series and Simera-C are film lenses.

SIMERA

Thypoch Simera offers a new way of seeing, a window into the present. Like a portal, it transports us beyond the limitations of the ordinary, revealing a world of hidden grandeur and subtle majesty.

The first series, Simera (which means "Today" in Greek), carries the deep desire to record fleeting moments of the present. Simera presents three full-frame prime lenses, 28 mm, 35 mm, and 50mm. The first two are available for M/Z/E/X/RF mounts and are therefore perfectly compatible with mirrorless cameras from Leica, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm and Canon. The 50mm is available with M mount for Leica.

All of them feature Thypoch Simera's elegant design that harmonizes with the aesthetics of Rangefinder cameras. The vintage-inspired aluminum alloy exterior, available in classic black and silver, evokes a sense of nostalgia. Their compact and lightweight nature makes them an essential companion for street photography, capturing fleeting moments with ease.

Their vintage aesthetics do not prevent them from being lenses with the latest technology such as their meticulous optical design and the arrangement of the internal elements of the lens, which keep the body of the Simera lenses compact while achieving exceptional optical performance, high resolution, high contrast and low chromatic aberration. All of this inspires users to capture the unique features of the present.

Both lenses feature a wide aperture of f/1.4 and a 14-blade diaphragm that create stunning bokeh, effortlessly isolating subjects from their surroundings and providing a mesmerizing sense of space.

With a gentle adjustment of focus, he weaves a visual aesthetic that transcends the limits of ordinary perception, painting poetry with every click.

Precise intuition born from reliable precision

With a minimum focusing distance of 0.45 m, Thypoch Simera 35 mm allows  you to explore the subtleties of your subjects in extraordinary detail.

The subtle resistance at 0.7 m on the focus ring provides the tactile feedback needed to intuitively alert when rangefinder focus will override and it is recommended to use the EVF (electronic viewfinder) for optimal focusing accuracy instead.
