Smaller and even lighter, Zhiyun-Tech's CRANE-M2 S 3-axis handheld gimbal stabilizer is designed with even more power than its predecessor to support compact cameras, smartphones, and action cameras up to 2.2 lbs. The M2 S includes all the great features of the M2 and adds even more functionality, including a higher payload, longer runtime, PD fast charging, a smaller handgrip, a sleek two-tone design, Bluetooth 5 support, a redesigned quick-release camera board, and an integrated LED light.

The CRANE-M2 S offers 360° panning, 320° tilt and 320° roll rotation in six operating modes, including POV and Vortex modes. It works for about 10.5 hours with a built-in battery that can be recharged with an included cable. Through a wired connection, the gimbal can power a compatible camera and control its zoom, shutter and video start/stop functions. You can also control gimbal movements with the free-to-download ZY Play mobile app for iOS and Android, which provides remote control over many gimbal functions and filming features such as time-lapse, panorama, and slow-motion capture.

The CRANE-M2 S features a quick release camera mounting system that allows you to secure or remove your camera with the push of a lock button. Scale marks and memory locks help you balance the camera and lock the balance position for the camera used. The built-in fill light is integrated next to the camera plate, features a CRI of 90+, brightness of 1000 lumens and five brightness levels, and includes four interchangeable filters to change the color temperature.

Six modes of operation

• PF Mode
• The camera rotates as it rotates the gimbal left and right. This feature is useful for hyperlapse capture and traveler footage.
• Mode F
• The camera will follow the movements of the gimbal handle.
• L Mode
• The direction of the camera is locked, so you won't miss any shots in any situation.

Point of view mode

• The CRANE-M2 S offers a full-range POV mode, enabling 360° synchronous movement on all three axes. Instead of leveling off during movement, the camera will remain locked in position no matter which direction or how much you move the gimbal, allowing for real POV shots.
• Vortex mode
• Vortex mode gives you the freedom to shoot 360° cinematic barrel shots in all dimensions.
