The Canon EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS is a compact, lightweight and highly versatile zoom lens that is designed specifically for the APS-C DSLR EOS format range of cameras with the EF-S mount lens. Combining powerful performance with high image quality, this lens offers the focal length range equivalent to 29-320mm in 35mm format. It is ideal as a general-purpose zoom lens, giving coverage from a wide-angle telephoto perspective.

The EF-S 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS incorporates 4-stop image stabilizer compensation technology Canon. This allows the use of shutter speeds up to 4 times slower, with no noticeable magnification in blurred images. Aspherical and UD lens elements minimize aberrations and contribute to overall image quality and fine delineation. A zoom lock lever keeps the zoom in place at its widest point, so it doesn't extend while not in use. A wide rubber zoom ring provides smooth and comfortable control over focal length adjustment.

Image Stabilizer
4 Image Stabilizer (IS) extends under light options to levels not previously available. Photographers normally shooting handheld at 1/250 sec can activate is to get a similar shape constant and blurry result with a shutter speed of just 1/15 second. Lack of image definition in low light conditions and in long telephoto lengths is significantly reduced.
