SD WP PENTAX binoculars

These binoculars meet the traditional demand for 8x magnifications. Ergonomically difficult to beat, they have all the quality features found throughout the zenith prism range PENTAX; Lenses with full multi-coating, internal focus, water and dust resistant, nitrogen filled and BaK4 prism with phase correction coating. The new coating with improved light transmission creates even sharper images. The polycarbonate housing makes the whole assembly lighter. It also offers helical eyepieces with 4 steps. When weight is an important factor for you, then these prismats are the best choice.

New Optical Elements with Full Multi-Coating
Full multi-coated lenses serve the essential purpose of maximizing the amount of light passing through a lens, thereby avoiding reflections and the phantom effect of interfering with vision. PENTAX applies several layers of coatings to each surface of each element and prism across its full range of binoculars PENTAX Sport Optics. These fully multi-coated lenses ensure maximum light transmission, resulting in a clear and crisp view of the world.

New and Improved Light Transmission Coatings
PENTAX binoculars elevate optical quality to a superior level by applying a new optimized film deposition technology, over lens surfaces and prisms resulting in increased light transmission that creates bright images with accurate color reproduction.

Lens Protective Coating
All optical surfaces are delicate and must be handled carefully to prevent scratching. To add to the durability of the Z and S series waterproof binoculars*, PENTAX has added a protective nano technology coating that helps deflect water, oil, dust and dirt. This allows PENTAX binoculars to be able to withstand the harshest viewing conditions.

BaK4 Prisms
A prism is an optical component of high complexity. Its function is to prevent the image from appearing inverted in the eyepiece, and allows to build more compact binoculars. A prism drifts several times and at different angles the luminous rays; therefore, the quality of the optical glass with which the prism is manufactured is of decisive importance. PENTAX exclusively uses high purity BaK4 glass prisms with a high refractive index.

Phase Correction
The complex optical design of prism porro binoculars provide a durable, compact and lightweight design, but require a high level of optical perfection. A phase correction coating is applied across the entire range of prism joint binoculars to maximize image display quality.

Waterproof Resistance PENTAX

Products PENTAX with waterproof resistance are completely sealed and purged with laboratory-grade nitrogen to provide fog-proof vision in the most adverse weather conditions. With a class 6 JIS rating, binoculars PENTAX waterproof binoculars can be submerged to 1m depth.

Internal Focus
Sophisticated optical design is critical for low maintenance and long-lasting warranty. Exposure to dust particles and moisture is avoided, thus ensuring that there are no external influences capable of penetrating the housing and disturbing the proper functioning of the binocular.

Nitrogen Fillers
Nitrogen is a chemical element and a colorless, odorless and tasteless gas. It contains little moisture and is therefore used to "fill" and isolate binoculars and telescopes from the humidity of the air around us. Due to its low humidity factor, nitrogen prevents the formation of condensation in the internal lenses of optical instruments during stages of sudden temperature changes. On the other hand, as nitrogen is filled under high atmospheric pressure, it prevents the entry of dust particles.
