• 47.3MP full-frame CMOS sensor and Maestro III processor

With a 47.3MP full-frame CMOS sensor and a Maestro III image processor, the SL2's imaging capabilities have been optimized for high-resolution recording along with remarkable sensitivity, a wide dynamic range of 14 stops and flexible recording modes. The sensor design omits a low-pass filter to maintain the highest degree of sharpness and resolution. When combined with the Maestro processor, noise levels are further suppressed across the sensitivity range, from ISO 50-50000, and processing capabilities produce fast, full-resolution continuous shooting. speeds up to 20fps with an electronic shutter, 10fps with a mechanical shutter and 6fps with a mechanical shutter and AF-C, for up to 78 consecutive DNG files.

• 5K and 4K video recording

Beyond still image capture, the SL2 is a capable video camera with up to 5K (4992 x 3744) recording with 10-bit color, as well as DCI, UHD 4K and Full HD settings. Also, high-speed recording modes for UHD 4K60, with 30fps playback, and Full HD 180fps, with 30fps playback, offer 2x and 6x slow motion, respectively.

Complementing video quality, a dedicated Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) photo style mode and L-Log gamma profile can be used to expand highlight and shadow details and offer greater flexibility when grading color. 2. An impressive EyeRes EVF is a high-resolution 5.76m OLED seeker that offers a clear configurable display magnification of 0.78x along with a 120fps refresh rate, 0.005 second delay and 10,000:1 contrast ratio.
3. The large 3.2" 2.1m dotted touchscreen LCD is a clear and bright medium for live view shooting as well as playback and menu navigation. This display also uses Gorilla Glass for a highly durable design.

• Image stabilization

Helping to achieve maximum sharpness when shooting your handheld, 5-axis image stabilization with sensor shift compensates for a wide range of motion types for sharper, clearer images.

Using sensor shift stabilization technology, the SL2 also features a Multi-Shot mode to capture and compile eight separate exposures to create a single 187MP raw or JPEG file. Suitable for static subjects and when working on a tripod, this mode creates a more detailed mode and an image with accurate color that a single shot can produce and produces an image with a resolution of 16736 x 11168 pixels.

• Object Detection Autofocus System

For accelerated autofocus performance, an object detection AF system LEICA quickly calculates the distance to subjects and adjusts the focus position with sensor and lens communication at speeds of up to 480 fps. Complementing the optics is a Dual Syncro Drive stepper motor, which delivers fast and quiet autofocus performance to suit both still images and video applications. In addition, an AquaDura coating has been applied to the exposed elements and seals have been incorporated into the lens design to benefit work in harsh environmental conditions.
