the E-M1 Mark III system (M.Zuiko lenses included) offers mobility superior with the performance and high image quality that any photographer is looking for.

The best image stabilization on the market allows handheld shooting in a wide variety of situations. When compatible lenses2 are synchronized with the IS Sync function and the camera's 5-axis image stabilization, the E-M1 Mark III achieves 7.5 stops of shutter speed compensation, which is the highest stabilization on the market. This level of stabilization allows shooting in dark environments and extreme telephoto photography without having to use a tripod, offering multiple possibilities for photographers and video makers alike. Without IS sync, the camera body's built-in image stabilization achieves compensation with any Micro Four Thirds lens of up to 7 steps in shutter speed3.

Image quality superior thanks to the new TruePic IX image processor and High-Resolution Shooting from OLYMPUS. Combined with a new TruePic IX image processor, a 20.4 megapixel Live MOS sensor and a wide range of high-resolution M.Zuiko lenses, 5-axis image stabilization ensures minimal noise levels even at high sensitivity and high image quality with minimal distortion even at the edges of the image. For those users who require higher resolution, High-Resolution Shake Stabilization allows them to capture images with a resolution of approximately 50 megapixels without having to use a tripod. The High-Resolution Shooting function lets you record high-resolution (approximately 80 megapixel equivalent) RAW and JPEG images.

Live ND for slow shutter effects without an ND filter. Live ND mode, which was already very successful on the OM-D E-M1X, has also been included in this model. Users can select the level of effect they want to apply, from ND2 (one step) to ND32 (5 steps), and check the effects of slow shutter through the viewfinder before shooting. This function eliminates the need to change optical ND filters for different scenes and lenses and is particularly useful for lenses where it is difficult to attach filters.

Its rugged capabilities with the well-known technologies of OLYMPUS ensure maximum reliability, even in the harshest environments. The OM-D E-M1 Mark III's rugged magnesium alloy body features a dust-, splash- and freeze-resistant design that enables shooting in any location and situation.

High-speed USB charging, even while shooting. The BLH-1 lithium-ion battery can be fully charged in as little as two hours when installed in the camera connected to a power source via USB4. The E-M1 Mark III supports the USB PD (USB Power Delivery) standard for powering the camera with power from an external charger, enabling long continuous shooting, especially convenient for shooting stars or in cold environments.

Advanced dust reduction system with a new coating and a shutter with a long service life. With the advanced technology of OLYMPUS Super Sonic Wave Filter (SSWF), which vibrates the image sensor at an acceleration of several thousand g5 30,000 times per second to effectively shake off dust and dirt, and the OM-D E-M1X's new coating, dirt will not get stuck on the sensor, reducing image smearing by up to 10 percent compared to conventional models. The E-M1 Mark III's shutter has been tested6 to withstand 400,000 actuations, so it offers a high level of reliability that even professional photographers who constantly use the shutter will be comfortable with.

High-speed, high-precision autofocusing with the new Starry Sky AF and Face/Eye Priority AF. The OM-D E-M1 Mark III features on-chip phase detection AF with 121 cross-hatched focus areas for focusing on multiple parts of the screen. It offers 75% vertical and 80% horizontal coverage of the screen for a wider focusing area. Featuring an advanced AF logarithm, this function enables continuous focusing on moving subjects with high precision. Unlike digital SLR cameras, there is no loss of accuracy with this camera
4 In USB charging with the HLD-9 grip attached, the battery is charged inside the camera body. There is no power supply charging function with the AC-5 AC adapter (via the HLD-9 grip) 5 For example, in Formula 1 racing it reaches approximately 5 g. 6 According to test conditions carried out by OLYMPUS.

AF when using a high-speed lens. The E-M1 Mark III offers high-precision focusing that gets the most out of large-diameter lenses such as those with a maximum aperture of f1.2. It also enables AF/AE tracking to be carried out with a maximum shooting burst of 18 fps while maintaining the pixel count of 20.4 megapixels. In addition, the subject can be checked in the viewfinder during burst shooting for more accurate tracking.

Multi-selector to quickly switch between AF areas without distraction when framing the image through the viewfinder. A multi-selector (already present on the E-M1X) allows you to quickly switch focus areas with your thumb while looking through the viewfinder. Since users can move the AF area with the multi-selector in burst shooting, even erratically moving subjects, such as wild animals in nature, can be focused accurately. Also included is a Move AF Area function that, based on user selection, stops the AF area at one end of the screen or moves it to the opposite end.

Faces Priority AF / Eyes Priority AF The Faces Priority AF and Eyes Priority AF functions, which automatically detect people's faces and eyes, have been enhanced. The new TruePic IX image processor features enhanced processing capabilities and an improved AF algorithm that allows even small faces and eyes to be detected more accurately, keeping focus on the subject stable in situations where it was difficult to detect faces in the past (e.g. focusing on faces in profile). It is now possible to use buttons or touch to select faces in photos or videos, as well as turn detection on and off at the touch of a button. Accompanied by versatile video functions, this feature will make the E-M1 Mark III an excellent tool for vloggers.

New Starry Sky AF for high-precision focusing in astrophotography. Starry Sky AF, a new feature of the OM-D E-M1 Mark III, is a function that will revolutionize the world of astrophotography. In the past, photographers used manual focus. A new algorithm has been developed that allows even the smallest stars in the night sky to focus correctly, enabling high-precision autofocusing. One of the two modes of the Starry Sky AF is the Speed Priority mode (default setting), which, as the name suggests, gives priority to focusing speed and completes AF operations in a very short

time. Thanks to the powerful image stabilization, this function allows astrophotography shots to be taken without a tripod and using a wide-angle lens. The other mode is the Precision Priority mode, which scans the focus precisely and is very effective for shooting specific stars with telephoto lenses.

Versatile photographic functions such as Pro Capture or 4K Video Stabilization to unleash your creativity. Pro Capture mode to capture the most fleeting moments, even in unpredictable situations. Pro Capture mode allows you to capture scenes with difficult timing for the photographer, such as a bird taking flight. Pro Capture allows you to start recording images the moment the shutter release button is half-pressed, with a buffer that allows up to 35 RAW/high-resolution images to be captured. At the moment the shutter release button is fully pressed, previous images can be selected in addition to the images captured by pressing the shutter release button.

B mode is now available on the mode dial for easy access to the Live Composite function. The OM-D E-M1 Mark III features the Live Composite function, which superimposes multiple images captured at the same shutter speed and composites only the sections that are brightest to capture light trails. This function prevents the common phenomenon of images becoming too bright when taking long exposures. Users can check the progress of light trails in real time with Live View. With B mode on the mode dial, it is now easier to activate and set Live Composite, Live Bulb and Real Time functions.

The OM-D Movie mode enables powerful 4K/C4K image stabilization with handheld camera. The E-M1 Mark III features an image stabilization mode specially designed for video recording. Electronic stabilization combined with the 5-axis stabilization built into the camera body achieves powerful stabilization that is particularly useful for those shooting movies. This provides high performance for shooting movies without a tripod or other stabilization device, even when shooting in high-resolution formats that are susceptible to the effects of camera shake, such as 4K or Cinema 4K (C4K).

Log mode that enables color grading in movies. This model features the OM-Log400 function, which allows shooting without loss of detail in highlights and shadows, as well as color grading for greater freedom of action on images. To make Live View images more viewable, the View Assist function allows the color gamut to be set to the equivalent of the BT.709 Full HD standard.

High-resolution audio recording with the LS-P4 Linear PCM recorder for professional sound. Combining the LS-P4 high-resolution audio recorder with an external mic or recorder enables more versatile recording of high-quality audio for video. In this way, high-quality sound recording for video production is achieved either by placing the LSP4 recorder close to the subject or by changing the direction of the mic and zooming in on the sound source. With the new Version 1.10 firmware for the LS-P4, which is being released at the same time as the OM-D E-M1 Mark III, the Sync Tone function, useful for editing audio files, and the Test Tone function, which helps adjust the recording level, will be available.

Applications and software from OLYMPUS for convenience and efficient data management. OLYMPUS Image Share (OI.Share) smartphone app. The OI.Share smartphone app can be used to connect to the camera via Wi-Fi, import images to a smartphone or operate the camera remotely via smartphone. OI.Share can now also be used to update camera firmware and retrieve camera settings with the OM-D E-M1 Mark III.

Image editing software OLYMPUS Workspace.
