More info about the XH1 FUJI

It has a robust and durable body of new design, incorporates a series of models of use that allow its use in a diversity of scenarios demanded by photographers and professional video producers. The X-H1 is the first model in the X series to include the latest 5-axis body image stabilization (IBIS), with a maximum of 5.5 stops (*1) and a flicker reduction mode that improves the quality of indoor sports photography.

In combination with the existing range of FUJINON XF lenses, the camera allows the use of 5-axis image stabilization and stops, except when some lenses (* 2).

The camera also supports a range of interchangeable lenses that will go on sale throughout the year. These include the MKX18-55mm T2.9 and MKX50-135mm T2.9 cinema lenses, which incorporate the X-mount (scheduled for release in May 2018), the XF200mm F2 R LM OIS WR, a fixed-length, large-aperture telephoto lens, and the XF8-16mm F 2.8 R WR, designed to meet the needs of landscape or place photographers. Both are expected to be launched by the end of 2018. The new camera and lens combinations provided excellent image production and were ideal for fast-action sports photography.

* 1 With the addition of XF 35mm F1.4 lens
* 2 XF10-24 mm F4 R OIS, XF18-55 mm F2.8-4 R LM OIS, XF55-200 mm F3.5-4.8 R LM OIS

Main features
1. 5.5-stop In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) (*1), a new feature that expands the high-quality photographic range of the X Series.

The first in-body image stabilization system (IBIS) included in an X-series camera uses three specially developed axial accelerometers, three axial gyroscopic sensors, and a dual processor. Thanks to this combination, a high speed of about 10,000 calculations per second is achieved. By unifying with compensation mechanisms, you get uncompromising image quality and accuracy based on the performance described below.

(1) 5-axis image stabilization can be obtained with all XF and XC lenses.
(2) Image stabilization of up to 5.5 can be obtained when using the camera with all XF lenses that do not include optical image stabilization technology.

The following technical advances have been developed to support this high-precision performance:
· A laser device will be used for the manufacturing process of the image stabilization unit that offers a flatness and position of the components with twice the precision of standard components.
· The assembly process also includes the inspection and adjustment of each camera to ensure that, when image stabilization is used, the parallel position of the sensor is achieved with microorder accuracy equivalent to that of previous models.
· In addition, a new spring mechanism has been included to reduce microvibrations caused by the operation of the mechanical shutter.
· The photographer may also choose to use the electronic front curtain shutter or electronic shutter to virtually eliminate the effect of vibrations and maximize the benefits of image stabilization.
The X-H1 uses the APS-C size (*3) X-Trans ™ CMOS III sensor (24.3 megapixels, no low-pass filter) and the X Processor Pro high-speed image processing engine. This technology patented by FUJIFILM had its debut in the X-Pro2 cameras and, later, in the X-T2, obtaining many awards worldwide. When used in combination with the extraordinary FUJINON lens, FUJIFILM more than 80 years ago, the X-H1 produces images of exceptional and unmatched quality that capture the subject's finest details, such as its texture, three-dimensional structure, and even the ambience and sensations of each scene.

2. Its durable, highly robust and easy to handle body translates into an acceptable experience in a wide variety of environments.

(1) In addition, the powder and water resistance properties of the chamber, as well as the ability to operate at temperatures up to -10 ° C, also use a magnesium alloy 25% thicker than that of the X-T2. FUJIFILM has also modified the mounting structure, thus obtaining a more compact and lightweight body that maintains high precision and strong torsional resistance.

(2) This is an electronic viewfinder of high magnification and high precision. The magnification ratio of 0.75 times and the resolution of 3.69 million are the best features in mirrorless cameras. The viewfinder screen is extraordinarily smooth, with a vision sensor of just 0.005 seconds and a frame rate of 100 frames per second, allowing the photographer to instantly confirm the movement of the subject and the position of the focus with great precision.
The rear LCD monitor is an angle-adjustable LCD that features an electrostatic touchpad and 3 tilt positions, 3 inches and 1.04 million dots. In addition, the 1.28-inch sub-LCD of the superior part of the camera, a current feature of the FUJIFILM GFX 50S medium format, allows instant confirmation of shooting information.

(3) Improved operability with a total of 19 years.
· The camera uses a new high-grip design and a shutter switch for the shutter release to achieve a feeling of being within reach of the camera and easy shutter release button operation so you can effectively capture all the images you want.
· The camera has the quietest shutter of all the X series cameras, which makes it an ideal tool for environments where tranquility is needed, such as wildlife photography, shows or weddings.
· A new AF-ON button has been added to the back of the camera. Thanks to this button it is easier to activate the autofocus with your thumb. Thus, the photographer can use the index finger only for the shutter button. In addition, other modifications have been made to improve operability, such as the expansion of the buttons on the back of the camera and improvements in the grip of the buttons on the front and rear.
· The X-H1 also features a focus lever that facilitates fast and precise movement to the desired focus point.

3. Wide range of video functions to meet the requirements of film production

The X-H1 is the first camera in the X series to include ETERNA, a new cinematic simulation ideal for shooting movies. This mode simulates the cinematic film and creates sober colors and shades of shadow full of nuances, greatly changes the creative freedom during the subsequent process. The camera's video image quality has been improved thanks to the new ability to record at a high bit rate of 200 Mbps. The camera includes a total of 20 functional and performance improvements including 1080/120P high-speed video mode (1/2, 1/4 and 1/5 speed in slow motion) to record spectacular images in slow motion, recording with F-log SD card* 4 that facilitates a smooth workflow, a DCI 4K shooting mode (4096 × 2160), 400% dynamic range setting approximately, high bit rate recording 200 Mbps, an internal microphone of high sound quality (24 bit / 48 kHz) and verb time codes.
* 4 The color space is defined according to ITU-R BT.2020.

4. First flicker reduction mode on an X Series camera and improved AF algorithms improve shooting experience

The light-reducing effects inside the photograph, and the X-H1 achieve this with a mirrorless camera, allowing stable exposure during burst shooting, even in fluorescent and mercury light.
In addition, the following performance improvements have been achieved thanks to the refinement of the AF algorithm:
(1) The low light limit for phase detection autofocus has been improved by about 1.5 stops from 0.5 EV to -1.0 EV, increasing the accuracy and speed of autofocus in low light environments.
(2) The minimum aperture interval has been extended from F8 to F11.
For example, phase detection autofocus can now be used even using the XF100-400 mm F4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR with the XF2X TC WR teleconverter.
(3) Significant improvements have been made to the performance of af-C while zooming, which provides great benefits when taking sports photographs and in other scenarios where subjects move unpredictably.
(4) It can now be captured at high speed and with great precision the results of the results with phase detection autofocus are not satisfactory, such as surface textures with details, wild birds and wild animals.
