The NIKON 200-500mm f5.6 VR AFS Lens it is a telephoto zoom characterized by a constant aperture of f5.6 throughout the zoom range.

The optical design incorporates three extra-low dispersion glass elements to reduce chromatic aberrations and distortions for greater sharpness and color accuracy.

Also contributing to improved image quality, an Integrated Coating Super has been applied to lens elements to reduce reflections and ghosting to improve contrast and clarity.

A silent wave AF motor system produces fast, near-silent focusing performance that suits the two shooting stills and video recording that can instantly be replaced manually by simply turning the manual focus ring.

Also contributing to shooting in fast situations and difficult lighting, VR (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization compensates for the effects of camera shakes up to 4.5 stops. An electromagnetic aperture mechanism is integrated into the lens design to provide greater exposure control stability which is especially beneficial when working with continuous fast shooting rates.

Designed for use with FX image sensors, this lens is also compatible with DX sensors where an equivalent focal length of 300-750mm will be provided.
