Monopod Moza Slypod | slider MOZA Slypod

An innovative 2-in-1 camera mount, the Slypod MOZA can be used as a motorized slider or a monopod. With a tripod plate integrated along its length, it can be mounted on a tripod horizontally and used as a motorized slider. It extends telescopically 11" at assignable speeds with smooth, constant and silent movement thanks to a built-in gear motor with algorithms. In this mode, it supports up to 9 lbs, allowing you to connect everything from an action camera to a full-size cinema camera, as well as a camera gimbal.

Telescopic movement is set up via an iOS/Android app on assigned travel routes or repeatable movements. Speeds can be designated from an ultra-slow minimum of 0.15 mm per second to 28 mm per second. 9 lb is the rated safety payload, while the maximum payload is 22 lbs. You can also place it vertically on a mini tripod or other stand to use as a monopod. Also in this mode, it provides 11" of motorized travel distance, with safety loads of up to 20 lb (or 40 lb maximum).

To connect a camera, there is a 1/4"-20 mounting screw on the end. A quick tilt and unhook attachment is included that secures this end and allows you to position the camera facing almost any direction. Alternatively, you can mount a spherical head, a flowing head or other support. A great option is a gimbal stabilizer, such as one of the MOZA gimbals. By placing a gimbal, motorized axes of rotation and inclination are added to the motorized slides.

The Slypod is designed with a built-in battery with a runtime of up to two hours. A great feature of the Slypod is that the battery can be charged while the Slypod is in use, so it can shoot continuously for time-lapse capture, vlogs, live streams, and other applications, especially considering the super slow minimum scrolling speed of 0.15mm per second. The battery is charged via a USB charging port that can also be used to integrate other MOZA products, for actions such as camera shutter control.

In addition to mobile app control, the Slypod can be partially operated via the built-in +/- control buttons or an optional wireless remote. The engine, battery, power button, +/- controls and USB port are integrated/located at the bottom end of the Slypod. There is also a luminous ring in that section that illuminates different colors to indicate the status of the battery. Red, for example, means that the Slypod is charging.

The built-in mounting plate for sliding mode offers 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 mounting threads. For vertical mounting, a 1/4"-20 threaded hole is provided at the bottom when the included wooden handle is removed. A mini tripod is supplied to mount the Slypod in monopod mode.

The Slypod has a weatherproof design that provides resistance to wind, sand and dust. Completely collapsed, it measures 21." Fully extended, and with the wooden handle attached at the bottom and the quick opening and tilting accessory at the superior, it measures 38" from end to end. Made mostly of carbon fiber, it weighs only 1.7 lbs.
