ContactThe Atomos Ninja Blade 5" HDMI Monitor and Recorder features a 1280 x 720 resolution display with 325 dpi that provides a sharp image, in a small monitoring package. Record up to 1080 30p/60i resolution via HDMI to an available HDD or SSD using Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD 10-bit recording codecs with 4:. 2:2 sampling colors, this unit provides you with a monitoring and recording solution on a compact battery powered unit. The Ninja Blade features an on-screen display system that allows you to select the features you want to control with a touch of your finger. Select waveform or vectorscope overlay to see the signals, peak focus helps you see what is focused on your shot. Sheet accepts 2.5" HDDs/SSDs. These are sold separately, but you get a docking station that discharges these pulses to your computer via USB 3.0/2.0. You also get a SONY -type battery NP-F570, a charger, an AC adapter for continuous power, and two masters for caddies available HDD/SSD. - Uncompressed recording
- The Ninja Blade records directly from the camera's video output, bypassing camera compression, allowing the unit to record at 10-bit, 4:2:2 to Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD.
- Atomos 5.0 Capacitive Touch Screen OS
- Blade's operating system, Atomos, manages recording, playback, monitoring and simple cutting and editing of tags via a capacitive touch screen. Atomos 5.0 supports alpha channel, transparency support, full RGB waveform and luma parade, and zoom vectorscope.
- Cut and Tag
- Atomos 5.0 allows Rough Cut your footage, label it as favorite or reject, and then save it as a project to be finished and polished in the studio. You can cut and label short and long clips with finite-by-frame precise staggering and transport controls.
- Synchronized REC trigger and Timecode
- The Blade provides the exact timecode frame and Start Stop triggers via HDMI from many cameras, including CANON, SONY, PANASONIC, NIKON, JVC, RED and ARRI. It also features LANC and trigger-firing timecode for those old cameras that don't have start-stop flag protocols on board. The Blade also has brand lights to indicate the start time.
- ProRes and DNxHD encoding and playback
- The unit encodes in your choice of Apple ProRes and Avid DNxHD codec and can also play any ProRes or DNxHD file from any system suite, recorder or edit. You can take advantage of this breeding ability to take reeds along the way.
- Storage HDD or SSD
- It records at disposal "2.5 HDDs or SSDs, which are hot-swappable. As SSDs are vibration resistant they are ideal for launches in difficult conditions, such as on a race track.
- File Recovery
- In case you accidentally throw away the power or remove the storage drive during recording, the operating system will detect the interruption and rebuild the file within 2 frames.
- Audio Monitoring
- All audio, even analog, is frame locked accurately to each frame of video, never drifting or losing synchronization. If digital audio is out of sync with the camera, it can even be adjusted from sync on the fly by advancing or delaying incoming audio. The Ninja Blade monitors/logs 2 channels of audio embedded in the HDMI signal and 2 channels of analog audio.
- Construction
- The blade is constructed of aeronautical-grade aluminum and characteristic locking mechanisms for each removable part.
- Low power consumption
- Leaf consumes only 6W of power and can be powered by the included SONY NP battery type. The unit features two locking battery slots, and comes with an EN-EL15 NIKON battery type adapter plate, and an LP-E6 battery type adapter plate, which allows you to use non- SONY NP batteries to power the unit.
