Metabones Micro 4/3 to CANON EF Adapter

The CANON EF Micro Four Thirds Lens Smart Camera Adapte r from Metabones attaches an EF CANON lens to a Four Thirds of PANASONIC or micro OLYMPUS format camera. It is known as a "Smart Adapter" because it maintains electronic communication between the camera and the lens, so it provides automatic aperture control in P or S modes, EXIF data, and image stabilization. Autofocus is not supported. The adapter is powered by the camera body, so no external power supply is required and its 32-bit processor allows effective communication between the camera and the lens.

The smart adapter offers two different operating modes: green and advanced modes. Each mode supports a different set of features and is selected when the lens is mounted. Green Mode is the default mode and it is designed to save battery power by limiting aperture diaphragm movements and image stabilization. Some other features are not available in Green mode including Auto-Expand MF Assist and DOF Preview.

Third-party EF-mount lenses such as TAMRON, SIGMA and TOKINA are compatible with the adapter, however they may have to be registered on the adapter of some third-party first-party zoom lenses in order to detect their maximum aperture.

Metabone adapters are made using precision machined brass with chrome plating on both the camera body and the lens side of the adapter in order to ensure smooth mounting, aesthetic quality, and durability. A matte black interior reduces internal reflections and a satin black finish of the outer surface matches most camera bodies and lenses. This adapter has a detachable tripod foot that is compatible with the Swiss Ark, Markins and Photo Clam ball joints.
