The Laowa 12mm f2.8 Zero-D lens has the widest viewing angle (122°) ever built with a lens of this luminosity, making it especially versatile for all types of photography and especially useful for photography of landscapes and architectural structures. And since its high-quality construction includes a couple of spherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements, you will have excellent sharpness and color accuracy in your photographs.

The optical construction also incorporates a pair of aspherical elements and three extra low dispersion elements to control both spherical and chromatic aberrations for improved sharpness and reduced color mixing. A coating of the frog's eyes has also been applied to repel dust and moisture from the front element of the lens from benefiting from work in treating environmental conditions. Benefiting the optical attributes, this lens also features a precise manual focus design along with a floating optical system to maintain accurate rendering over the entire focus range, from 7.09" to infinity. In addition, a petal-shaped sunshade is also incorporated into the lens' design to reduce flare and shadow when working in extreme light conditions.

Ultra first wide angle designed for full frame mounting on DSLRs, this 12mm f/2.8 can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a focal length equivalent to 19.2mm.

Bright f/2.8 maximum aperture is very suitable for working in low light and difficult conditions.

Rectilinear design makes subjects with minimal distortion in order to satisfy landscape and architectural applications.

Three extra-low dispersion elements reduce chromatic aberrations and color mixing for greater clarity and color neutrality. Two aspherical elements are also offered to limit spherical aberrations to improve sharpness.

A coating of the frog's eyes has been applied to repel both dust and moisture for added protection when working in adverse conditions.

Manual focus design employs a floating optical system to maintain performance across the entire 7.09" focus range to infinity.

Built-in petal-shaped lens hood protects the lens from stray light to reduce reflections and stray lights and also protects the front elements from accidental impacts.
